What could possibly hold Ottawa to start the Security check? Medical passed in Jan'2012, all Fees/Payments paid in Apr'2012. Do they just sit on the file?

Is there anything I can do to make Ottawa to start this last step? Really feel very frustrated about this situation...

No one really knows, perhaps waiting for paperwork from elsewhere or deliberately pushed in line - who knows. Although I am an atheist, so won't say pray to god but play game of patience

Yeah.... Believe me, I would be patient, if it is not 9 months since Medicals Passed and 6 months since all Fees were Paid. I was patient all these months, but now with Medicals expiring in less than 2 months, I think I am losing my patience.

Btw, how long since your Medicals were Passed? Do you also wait on Security for a long time? (wanted to ask you in private, but could not send you a message... possibly b'coz I am newbie on this forum).

Today i recevied Medical request & PPR from LVO-ND........Very Happy.....

But Amazing thing is this my E cas status still shows ''Application Recevied''

And i m dependent with my mother.......so plz stay cool my all friends who r dependents in their cases....LVO-ND working now...

plz dnt believe on rumors.......finger crossed

hi update on my side i got AOR FROM NEW DELHI TODAY ITS DATED ON 9 OCTOBER 2012 ON MY E-MAIL.FILE TRANSFER ON AUGUST 9 2012.

Congrats gaggi. What email address did the email come from? I want to add their email address to my safe list.

Thanks for your detailed response. CPP-Ottawa will resume the processing of your file from where Buffalo ended. Because your file was transferred from buffalo, you lost some time in transit. My best guess on your file is that CPP-Ottawa would have already started further processing on your file. Ideally, you having seniority, CPP-O should start processing your file first, before looking at anyone's else file, after file has been transferred to Ottawa. I'd suggest to request GCMS notes now in october for updated info. The GCMC notes you requested last time were true as of August, the date you applied/requested and not October, the date you received.

Last week, I also wanted to request GCMS notes, but I didn't as I want to wait until the end of this year to see if I get PPR or not. God forbid, If I do not receive any communication, then by mid january, I'll request GCMS notes for the first time. Even if I request GCMS now, I wouldn't get much info.. just medicals passed... and security and criminality either not started or in-process.... I do not care about these minor things in the process after medicals have been passed... I really care about whether I would make into this year's CPP-O target or not... and that info will not be in GCMS notes.... Even if CPP-O has not started security/criminality on my file now, I can't do anything.... or if security/criminality are in-process that does not give me a sound idea that I'd get PPR by december end, because some cases may require longer time in background checks.... I hope they are following some sequence or seniority and not picking files randomly and processing them.... CPP-O needs to fulfill 11,000 target this year.... so next 3 months are crucial for PPR requests.... I am getting a feeling that, by now, CPP-O would have started something on my file after medicals have been passed on August 20, so I wanna wait for 3 more months before requesting GCMS notes.

If it's expiring, perhaps they have a reason to give it to you sooner. I am waiting for Security just like you.
