To apply for Citizenship, you need to stay in Canada for 3 years in total (meaning you may come and go and come back again, but total duration of your stay has to be 3 years before you are eligible to apply for Citizenship).

Question to these who have been requested to re-take and re-send the photos for PR cards. Does the photo need to be taken in Canada only? Is there such a requirement in the letter for Photos Re-send for PR Cards?

Your case is absolutely right. The second copy should be attached to landed immigrant's passport, and the first page is taken by Immigration Officer who sends it for PR Card processing.

Hi, Msafiri. I as a Sponsor do have income of more that 22K. My question however was about my Parents, whose Income is less than 22K (in fact it is zero). Are they eligible for MSP 'assisted premiums' ?

Does anyone know if sponsored PR parents are eligible for MSP Premium Assistance? As per MSP site, for BC province for example, the MSP Premiums are $120 per month for a family of two, however if the net income of that family is less than 22,000, then the 'assisted premiums' are $0. Not sure...

We gave an address in US, and used registered mail, so were able to monitor when passports got received at Seattle VO, who signed for them, and then when the passports were mailed back. Do not worry if it is canadian address, you will get them. It is just Holiday season period, mailing service...

No, nothing like this. The last update in eCas is DECISION MADE, with a note "A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision." They do not update eCas with details if visa been stamped and passport mailed back.
