you paid $75 for sponsorship application + $475 for principal applicant + $550 for family member = $1100
you did not pay Right of Permanent Residence Fee ($490+$490=$980)
you need to pay $980

I see. then i am wrong. I will pay it today. thanks for bringing that up.

Hi everyone,

My parents received their passports earlier today. They did their medicals in December last year but the visa expiry date is October 15th. My mother's passport expires on October 15th. :).

They are planning to land on October 10th.

This will be my last post here. I wish everyone good luck. Consider yourself very lucky as you cannot even sponsor your parents anymore. We were the lucky ones :).

Congratulations! Wishing you lots of happiness with your parents living in Canada with you! :D

I received GCMS notes today, notes extracted on 2012/09/18.
Security: Not Started
Criminality: In Progress
Medical: Passed

Shuga, I see PCC info under Police Ceritificates section in Criminality. I see PCC expiry date set to 1 year from its date of issue.

I would think so. Under Criminality sub activities I also see "No Reportable Trace" for RCMP Screening for both of my parents.

do you see the date when Criminality started? is it before medicals? or after?

Yes, it is before medicals. Infact, when the day CPP-O started processing the file (I think) 2012/02/23.
Status "Inventory" (CPP-O) 2012/02/13
Status "In Progress" 2012/02/23

I know there is at least one other person on a different forum who was still waiting for the email from CPP-Ottawa as of last Friday. I expect there are many more people in the same situation. It seems (after talking with more people) that CPP-Ottawa responds regarding to a "Decision Made" status from 6 weeks to 3 months since the update on E-Cas. Very soon you should receive the email from CPP-Ottawa -- best of luck!

hmmm... it looks like every case is being processed differently...
i see several activities created when CPC-M approved the sponsorship (Jan 18, 2012): Medical, Criminality, Security, Eligibility... all created by CPC-M in status Not Started... then file transferred to CPP-O and Medical changes to In Progress and then Passed... no changes to Security, Criminality or Eligibility...

did you send your PCC with all documents to CPP-M? may be that's the reason why your criminality checks has started before medicals?

I beg to differ from Shuga

Criminality on my parents app was started the same day I received the medical request.
I got the GCMS again last week.
Under my Mom's info for criminality it says : No reportable trace found
For my dad : It says in progress.

Hi guys
Can you please share your opinion on the following quote from a friend from trackitt. his dad as diabetes and high levels of creatinine and he is worried for visa refusal. Thanks in advance.Quote from him..................

"The main thing I want to know is that is there anybody's parents whose medical report came up with reduced kidney function due to increased creatinine (serum) or who already had reduced kidney function but got their PR visa without any difficulty. Or if immigration asked for more tests due to reduced kidney function then what tests were those? and what happened later. parents are going back on October 3 to India. The designated Medical Practitioner who performed my parents' medical told us that my parents can go back home."

Thanks
