hi veeru41.....i've the same timeline as singhnx01...my file was transferred in jan 2012 as well, n i revd AOR frm NDVO via e-mail....after dat no response.....hwever, hav dependents with my parents....e-mail says first reveiw within 9 mnths... Don't understand wat dis means.....they asked to keep checking their website....which shows dat they r finalizing the applications recvd early to mid 2008.......hpfully soon we'll get sum news

In April, 2012, they asked my parents to fill form for my unaccompanified adult(my brother), details about my parents's studies, past addresses and copies of all pages of my old Indian passport.

Can you share some more info, it seems we both have similar medical dates.
Requested by email on June 20th, did medicals same day on June 20th in BC
Doctor mailed it on June 28th received by CIC on June 29th.

No update in eCas yet (July 27th 2012)

When I check with her UCI that you can find at the email when they request medicals, status says "application received". Then I click and it says that medical examination have been received.

So they dont have to send the Medical results to Local Visa Office ??? Is it Electronic Record updating system ? So now that the medicals are done -- where are you going to get the PPR request--- back home?? so she might have to travel back home to submit her passport to the LVO??

I wish I knew what is going to happen next, or how long it might take. Her file was transferred to Ottawa and the request for medicals came from CPC-Ottawa. I hope that parents who are here already in a visitor visa won't be required to go back, it just doesn't make sense. Usually they require the passport to give the visa to enter in Canada, if smb is here with a visa maybe they'll just require her to go to any immigration office and apply for PR. This is just my guess, I hope she doesn't have to go back.

Did your ECAS changed to In process? This happenend for us on June 22 2012. This is good indication when they start processing ur file and you should receive something within 30 days for either medicals or/and passport if PCC is already been accepted.

ECAS still stuck at application received. i am few months behind you (i sent the documents in jan 2012 but they send it back saying it was missing something while it was actually all complete so i sent it back and asked them to honour the original submission date, the letter stated that they did but who knows if i retained my original spot in queue or not) so might not be until september till that happens. lets hope for the best, am checking my ecas diligently everyday.

quick question for you and rick2007, did you receive the request through email or regular mail??? also how did you receive your aor and documentation request?

Singhnx, Congratulations on the passport request.

Are you 100% sure that they asked for medical and passport at the same time.

Usually medical and PCC are requested, then if medicals clear, then you get a passport request. I guess you will know better when you receive the scanned letter.

Well, my sponsorship application was apporved and transferred to LVO in May and we received a letter (dated June 7) on July 12 here in Canada. The letter came with forms, PPR, medical request, and addtional documents, as well as request for PASSPORT size photos of each. My hunch is that, through this way they can complete the processing of September 2007 to November 2009 applications.

So the CIC in Canada sent me an email confirming that they couldn't answer my question about my parents' recent/previous medical exams as my dad's file has already been transferred to LVO so it is best to contact LVO. WE received an e-mail from the LVO confirming that they considered my parents' recent medical exam very well. What we did was we contacted and sent the section A form to the DME/P who did my parents medical examinations. This case best explains what the 1 year validity of medical examination is all about especially if it is done by the DME/P.

my sister sponsored my parents back in decemebr 2008 , after processing the file within canada they sent it to CIC islamabad office on june 1 , on june 15 thy asked my parents to submit police certificate and wait for medical .. they also mentioned ( files will be processed on first come first serve bases ) as u may know minister kinney expedite the immigration process on nov 5 2011 , we were not expecting tht they will ask for police certificates within 15 days after process date starts in pakistan but maybe this is because of changed policy . .but i am confused after reading several different cases regarding parents immigration , comparing their initial file submit date with mine ..

1. Normally how long does they take for further process after they as for police certificates ( we submitted requested documents on july 16 ) i saw tht thy had this seal which shows 9th july date on the letter tht they sent requesting to give police certificates and other info ..

2. my E-CAS status , ppl r saying tht my status changed from bla bla bla to bla bla bla .. i have this no B xxxx xxxx x n i believe this is immigration file no / application number , further thy ask applicant surname DOB etc .. i m putting correct info but whenever i am checking it i got this message

what does this mean ?

TCS office confirmed tht some saran guy recieved it .. they should have changed the status even if they didnt begin processing it .. THEY SHOULD or NOT ?

Kindly help me out because i so wana go to canada and start my MBA .. i m the only dependent and my parents are doing this immigration thing just bx of me .. they dont require it .. do u think i should go for student visa and forget about immigration cx i cant wait for another 2 years ..

Hi Shamyil, congratulations, you are the first one received response from LVO Islamabad. This means things are moving fast. You should try accessing e case by providing the file number starting wit F???????? and providing the other personal information like last name, DOB, country of birth, etc. or you can access e case by providing your sisters I'd if you know it and her personal information. For your education plans, I would suggest to apply for student work permit as well....Students with good academic records admitting in good universities are getting visa,s in 8 to 10 weeks.
Please share your timeline and tell us what other information LVO asked to submit.

Hi Shamyil,
Some other tips, File number starting with F is required and personal information of principal applicant is also required to have e case access. Time line is variable for application with dependants and your case will be a test case with this new accelerated process for LVO Islamabad.
