All my correspondence from CIC has been via email as I indicated that that was preferred in my application.
My current ecas status says application received February 9, 2009 for step 2 of the process. No change to that even though medicals have been completed and received by CIC.

I have put email everywhere too but they have been inconsistent so far - sent some communication via email (e.g. 'application complete'
email before apporoval) and some via mail (e.g. the approval was sent by mail).

Nothing so far from the local VO :-( - wondering how they are going to communicate

Anik, are you rep on your parent's application.
if yes, did you included your email address in the form for rep.

if yes, then they will be emailing you after sponsorship approval.

I think from my thinking they will e-mail all correspondence to the e-mail address which was written on im0008. After the approval not the one which was written on representative form

I sent my mom's PCCs on May 10, 2012.

Don't know what to say about our medicals. as you know, my mom passed medicals for TRV on March 29 (with X-Ray and EKG).
oN mAY 09, 2012, we contacted the same doctor to make an appt for another medical for PR. The doctor asked me to forward the request from ottawa. She said she didn't feel it was necessary to do another X-Ray. She was going to send a request to London (her office). She did. London replied to her that my mom did not have any health issues and they were able to transfer her medical report from TRV to PR. They also said my mom did not need to do another medical. They concluded that they will inform LVO in my home country of the situation.
I saw their email as the doctor forwarded it to me.
I was concerned about the fact that they will inform LVO, when my mom's file is in Ottawa. The doctor said to not worry as she forwarded the request from Ottawa to them and they saw who is asking for medicals again. Well, she is just naive I think.
Called CIC.
They suggested that I write a letter to Ottawa explaining everything.
We decided to do this and to not do another medical. Because my mom had to go to another city to do it and we didn't see the point anyway. According to London, my mom is in good health and no questions from their end.

So we will see what happens.

An agent told me that in the worse case scenario, they will request a medical again if communication between London-LVO-Ottawa will be somehow broken.

She also said that 30 days is not the end of the world. They just give themselves extra time but it's okay if medicals are done a bit later.

Long story short...I guess we can put that medicals done May 11, 2012/

hello guys here r some more news from cic call centre,,,,,the agent told me that they sending approval letter for the completed files recieved
in apr-2012,so they r working on apri files,,,

i sent my documens on jan-19-2012,,,,file came back mar-27-2012 becoze not fully completed,,,,they gave me 1 month to complete......re submited on
mar-30-2012 -----received acknoledgement leter on may-11-2012,dated apr-26-2012,,,,waiting for aprroval lettre

Once you receive a letter from Mississaugua-m about the file being processed--- when do u get the medicals and PPC request? My file was transfered to the LVO --ISlamabad --- Will the letter be sent to home country Islamabad address ?

That all depends on LVO timelines and instructions.....nothing stays certain here but you can count 6 to 18months
