My initial application was on 15 April 2008.
On 28 Nov 2011 request for additional documents.
On 21 Dec 2011 additional documents received in Mississauga.
On 7 Feb 2012 my file was transferred to Vienna.
On 3 April 2012 I got an acknowledgement e-mail from Vienna.
And today I got the letter, dated 16 April, with the request for medicals.
I got the letter, the parent.

Hello, Great this forum!

I submitted the paperwork for my parents in march 2008
Received the letter requesting the rest of the documents by November 2011 and sent the package by mid February 2012.
How do I check if it was sent to the Visa office abroad? Could somebody help me with this?
Also, I would like to be an sponsor for my sister in a Humanitarian and Compassionate Grounds case but I do not know if this would harm somehow the case of my parents, my husband and me we earn more than 160000 a year and do not have kids, I do not think is a problem but I would like to check, after all this wait the last thing I would like to do is harm my parent's process somehow :s...

Please help!

I have some good news for applicants with dependents !!!
i was among those who 1st applied on 2008 october , & received additional document request on "25 NoV.2011"& have sent them the complete package on feb the 3rd 2012
today i fot an email :"
they`ve given me a New UCI number :
Dear xxxx xxxx :,

This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2008/10/08.

When should I contact CIC?
You must notify CIC of any changes to your application. Examples of changes include:
• Changes in your personal circumstances, such as birth or adoption of a child, a marriage or a divorce
• Change of contact information (e-mail, mailing address, telephone number)
• Appointment or change of immigration representative or designated individual
• Decision to withdraw your application .

what do u think guys !!finally the confirmed they`ve received the document !!!...does that mean that they are currently processing applications with DEPENDENTS

Hi guys,

Can someone please answer following questions regarding filling up the forms?

1. Dependant: Type A or B? One dependant was under 22 when we sponsored and other was over 22 that time.
2. Under Education/Occupation detail: Current occupation: Should it be "Student" for dependent who are full time students?
3. Do we have to fill up IMM 0008 for every single person? There are 2 dependant over 18 accompanying and 1 is over 18, married not accompanying.
4. IMM 0008DEP, if we already have filled IMM 0008 for dependant by clicking “add dependants” then why should we need to fill this up?
5. IMM 00008, In Contact info, question 1, current mailing add: Can I put my (sponsor) address and residential address should be my parents, and can i put my email?

4.IMM0008DEP you dont have to fill this up because you dont have more than 5 dependants.
5. Yes I put (mine)sponsor's adress in mailing and my parents (india) in residential...yes put your email for sure

according to my thinking the cic will perform some more batch till 2013 becase they started second batch so early and i think all applications get first stage complete before 2013

If you applied already (for stage 1, i.e. your application to sponsor) then the old rules formally should apply I'd think...
(though with government and CIC there is no guarantiees :-( - look what they did to skilled worker applications...)

Did someone mess up the file again? My record shows Meds Recvd and Submitted. But I had not posted those dates. (maybe not all columns were selected when someone tried to sort it?)

Let me know how I can correct my record.
