After sending the documents in August 2014, now Yesterday got the letter from CIC that application has received and is complete. Now it's in the queue for processing.

Where I am standing at the moment? Anyone would like to explain this? Thanks!

you are looking at least 4 years if you only have parents but could be more if you have dependants specially over 22 at the time of application.
but you never know since they transfer most new cases to London from Islamabad it could take lesser time.

It all depends. 77months is the max time for 80% of the applications . Usually within a year you will get medical request .

Our file was transferred to London visa office in Jan 2014. Still no medical email received from them. Last I enquired and was told that their processing time is 78 months, and they are within processing time.

Yes the process time is 78 months but it can be sooner. I guess best to do is pray for the process to go faster.

If you got letter from Mississauga office then hopefully with in 3 months you will get sponsorship approval letter

If they are working full time and not studying meaning they are not dependable on your parents whether they are married or not, you may also check with CIC call centre.

Thanks Starzibal and TO30, i guess you guys were correct! my siblings who were over 22 at the time i started sponsorship application are not considered dependent. Here is the definition on cic,my siblings do not fall under any of the type a,b, or c categories. So they wont be considered dependent, hence i dont need to worry about getting police clearance and travel history form for them. However, the document checklist from Delhi immigration says "if you have non accompanying dependants who were 22 years of age or above and unmarried at the time of the sponsorship, complete the non-accompanying adult son/daughter additional information form"

My question is do i need to fill out the non-accompanying adult son/daughter additional information form for my siblings who are non accompanying family members? If i am reading it correctly i dont need to complete this form, because it specifically says in the beginning "if you have non accompanying dependants , but my siblings will not even be considered dependants. Am i reading it correctly, please advise. Thank you so much

The following types of children are for applicants who started an immigration process before August 1st, 2014.

Type AThe dependant is under the age of 22 and single (not married and not in a common-law relationship).
Type BThe dependant has been continuously enrolled in and in attendance as a full‑time student at a post-secondary institution accredited by the relevant government authority and has depended substantially on the financial support of a parent either:
since before the age of 22, or
since marrying or entering into a common-law relationship (if it happened before the age of 22).
Type CThe dependant is 22 years of age or older, has depended substantially on the financial support of a parent since before the age of 22, and is unable to provide for himself or herself because of a medical condition.

Recently they asked for 2nd times for the financial evaluation for LICO eligibility. i sent everything beginning of February 2015 and they sent me the approval on 19th February. They also said that the file has been forwarded to singapur. Don't know what's next why it takes so long.. If anyone has any idea please advice.

I'm thinking to apply for ECA (yes at a very preliminary stage compared to most of the people here ) but my deepest worry is of my parents-in-law.
So question is post our landing (me as principle applicant, spouse & kids) , what is the timeline for getting the parents sponsored for CN?
Pls share your experience.

I have sponsored my mother in Sept.2009 and is in process(from Bangladesh), you should be getting medicals within couple of weeks, can order GCMS notes might tell you a bit more. hope this helps. thx

Thanks for your reply. Yes I did request for the GCMS notes last week.
My ecase status is decision made : February 2012
and application received: August 2008. That's all nothing never Changed after.
Just wondering do they ask for any interview for parents?
Also if they ask for medical how long it might take afterwards finally to get the visa

check your parents ECAS status (parents UCI), not sponsors. And once it goes for 'In Process', the whole process could take 2-3 months, depend on what they ask for. Normally they ask Medical at first along with a letter requesting PCC and others, depend on complexity on each case. hope this helps.
