Thank you for your reply, 2010applicant. I applied in April 2010, and I provided them with my email address too, but I never received email from Mississauga. The ecas changed to Decision Made on Saturday. I called CIC this morning and agent told me that there was no updates on my sponsorship eligibility, and it is still in Process.
I just cannot figure out what is going on.
When did you receive your approval letter?

We received your application to sponsor XXXXXXXX on March 6, 2008.

We started processing your application on March 28, 2012.

Your GCMS shows the same thing as me. The only update i see in this month's notes is the medical says - expired. Dont worry we'll get through. It might take a little longer.

check your email junk mailbox, if you have provided email address as preferred contact you should get an email on where your application is being sent with the decision for second stage, otherwise if you have preferred correspondence by mail then you should get it by mail.

anyone any idea on average how many days it takes to get GCMS notes if submitted online? I know maximum time is 30 days.

Hi Forum Members, I have a question. As per Feb/2014 (This month's) GCMS Notes. My Eligibility is shown- Passed, Medical- Expired (Dec, 13, 2013), and security, Criminality- Not started. We are gonna be asked soon to provide Re-medicals, probably in a month time or two.

My Question to you is - Should i get my parents to RENEW their passports, When they arrive back from NDVO for re-medical and then get the medical done under new passports???? Because passports are expiring in June 2015.

Hypothetically Saying - IF Re-medicals are asked in - May/2014 (3 months from now), sent back in June/2014. I only have time till Dec/2014. Because in January/2015, I am not going to have the minimum 6 months passport validity for any visa to be issued. What do you guys think??? Please reply....

Much thanks in Advance. And is it not going to create complexity for the visa office to enter all new passports in their system since the rest of the application forms had old passport number. thanks again

It is normal. That is what I had on my ecase in Jan and then 3 weeks after I received a letter in mail detailing that the file is transferred to LVO. I did provide my email but i was never contacted by Mississauga or LVO via email about my file.

You should. I prefer sending registered mail over emails/fax. I am not suggesting that you shouldn't send emails/fax but always send the snail mail but registered with tracking # on it.

I don't know about India but you won't be able to renew passport if their validity is more than 6 months in your case as they are valid until June 2015. I would suggest that you should wait after re-medical done and if less than 6 month left and you don't get visa then renew passport and notify to NDVO. It won't create complexity for visa office, they would need a new passport if they have less than 6 month validity anyway.
