recently ordered GCMS report says " Notes from CPC: Pilot Code Added FC4 File registered in Queue-FQ-4" does any one have any idea about this lines?
my mother's case was transferred 30July2013 to SGVO. thank you.

Nothing much, just means file is registered in parental/grandparental category.
FC4/FQ4 means parents/grandparent category. FC1 is for spouses.

Obtain notes once processing is started to have a better idea.

Eventually you'll get it.
I just think ND has a lot of parental sponsorship cases, so there are a lot of files.
Also, there are many files/sponsors, who are not on this forum.
Even on this forum you can see most applicants are from India originally, so that also tells something.
We have less cases from London, Paris, Vienna compared to India,Pakistan,China, etc.

Under the new 2014 rules, it requires a lot of income....I wonder how many will actually even qualify?
Right now people were able to get by with LICO at around 55k-70k, but not many people have income closer to 90k-100k and how many of those want to sponsor parents and dependents?

I'm not sure how many grandparents can actually qualify under this as they would have a tough time clearing medicals due to their age.
Only the fit ones will get through.

Means less # of BG checks to complete, less processing.

But it all depends on where the file is in queue.

What is lvo, gcms etc. Can someone please tell the full form for these abbreviations. Also, some of you who applied for parents sponsorship in 2007 or 2008 seems to have moved way ahead and new Delhi visa office seems to have dealt with your case in 2012 or 2013 even though the visa has not been issued yet. However on cic website new Delhi visa office processing times shows 59 months (almost 5 years ) after CPC-M has approved the sponsorship. Is it 2-3 years wait in new Delhi visa office once application to sponsor is approved and file transferred? Please advise.

I also thought my file would be transferred to Ottawa but no. I did request to have my file processed in Ottawa... guess they didn't take that into consideration and forward my file to LVO... The approval letter was dated Oct 9. I checked the envelope and they sent it by regular mail on Oct 10. And I just received it today. Hope you'll hear something soon.

By reading through the forum, it appears you sponsored your mother, but is in Canada already before the sponsorship visa was issued. I also have a similar case, one of my sponsored parents dependent (aged under18 years) is already in Canada but the sponsorship application is still being processed (applied since 2008, got the additional doc request only last week). Is there a way i could request them to process the application here in Canada for the person who is already in Canada. And They can process the parents application in new Delhi. Did you request cic to process your mothers application in Ottawa and they still sent it to new delhi?Thanks

IMO, if you received AOR from New Delhi before April 09, 2013 then your application was still awaiting decision...
