My parents have COPR (Reissued this year due to the travel restrictions) So their new COPR expires by October 2022 first week.

They are in a strict timeline now there's a lot going in the family in India, they have to be present by December again in India. However, I keep reading that their PR Card will not be processed as fast as it used to be these days.

Please help me understand this.

Let's say they land on October 4th 2022, will they be issued with IMM1000 at the airport?
They will have my father's friend's address as the address where they will be staying.

What documents will be given to them during landing, as PR card will take time?

Can they leave within a month back to India and apply for PRTD from India in case if the PR cards get lost in mail or go to the old prehistoric address they have on file ( I read that IRCC does not update address or ignore what's given during landing)

My confusion starts here, when they apply for PRTD from India (shortly after landing and travelling outside Canada) it says you need to satisfy residence obligations. What does that even mean, prove you can be present in Canada for 700ish days. How can we convive the VO that they landed as PR and left Canada within a month? Looks like they no longer issue IMM1000 at the port of entry. I am so confused please help!

Can a newly landed person who left Canada get PRTD, if so please help me what I should have to prove residency obligations?

In case they don't get the card, they can apply for PRTD with no problem. THey will have the COPR stamped/signed as proof they landed.

The form now I believe actually requests if they were out of Canada less than 1095 days - because the requirement is that they are in Canada 730 days in the first five years (5 * 365 - 730 = 1095) [and any five year period thereafter looking back]. Or if you prefer, they are given 'credit' for days remaining in the first five year period.

So relax. Just note that getting the pRTD may take time and they should apply well in advance.
