Congrats. what is biometric section shows online at your application. mine is showing "finger prints not received" however, we did on dec 23rd.

is the medical request a good thing? I am unsure about the sequence of events for this application.

Thanks for sharing the details. Medical request seems your application moved ahead. you will get passport request after that if everything goes fine. medical results are valid for an year.

Praise the Lord!! update - Medical request just received for both parents to be done within 30 days.

I know many will ask, so sharing some timelines
May 22nd - ITA
May 27th - submitted
Oct 4th - PCC request
Oct 19th - PCC submitted
Dec 12th - biometric request
Dec 16th - biometric submitted
Dec 18th - email stating file move to Mississauga
Jan 22nd - Med request

So hold tight everyone, things are moving and I know other 2024 applicants who have progressed but not aware of this forum to share.

Is the medical request a sign that it is close to being approved for PR? We just got one for my mother-in-law....

her account currently says this... (we already submitted the police cert and my wife got the letter stating that she was approved as a sponsor.)

As some of you know already that I submitted my parents PGP in July - 29th July - but I have not received anything - ADR/AOR/PCC and all.. and my parents are in Canada on a VISA extension coming to an end in May, I was thining of applying for a SuperVisa while they are still in Canada.. I remember sometime back reading that it is possible to apply for a Super Visa while they are still in Canada, but when I try to fill out the form it is asking for when are they going to enter Canada? Does anyone know if it is possible to apply from within Canada for a Super Visa or if somebody has already done so?

Unfortunately you are unable to apply for a Super Visa from within Canada. One needs to be outside Canada to be able to apply for a Super Visa

I called IRCC today and the guilt is back ... Up until this point we saw that applications were picked up randomly (from submission date point of view), today the agent told me that now they are picking up the applications in the order received! Request is if somebody receives the AOR/ADR in the coming days, please let us know and share date you submitted your application. I submitted on 29th July so just wanted to have a rought idea. Guilt is back, I wrote, because I could have applied a few weeks sooner!

I(sponser) have been applied for PGP sponsership in November 2023.
Medical biometric and PCC done in November..
Tryng to check online status but showing me error that we are not able to find application.. try to link with online account but still says same thing..
I have submitted ircc webform with screenshot, they have some technical difficulties.. DID SOMEBODY HAVING THIS ISSUE? I don’t know how to resolve it.. lot of people got pr in December..
IF SOMEONE KNOW THEN I NEED HELP PLEASE. THANK YOU

I competely agree with your post. IRCC has a set process and docs requirements. If we provide all docs with proper explanations via an LoE or in between submit webforms under proper category with all docs, they will consider and also respond in time. Just clogging their inbox with queries will only delay the cause.
In our case we received AOR 4 months after submitting application. Then it just took around 3 or 3.5 months to get the PP stamped along with COPR. It was outland application and all steps like ADR, Biometric, Medicals, PCC, some change in personal details submiited and processed via web forms and finally PPR and stamping were completed in 3 months.
My advise trust the system, provide all information on time and be transparent.

Want to share an update and to help if someone is in the same boat.
I got the invite for my parents and I submitted my application on June 3rd 2024. I got the ADR on July 15th and then AOR on Sept 14th followed by PCC request on Oct 4th. I submitted all on Nov 11th 2024. Even the medicals also approved since my parents were here in Canada and they did their medicals in 2023 so IRCC considered those.
My father was the primary applicant and mother as dependent in the application.
Unfortunately, my father was hit by a Car and he passed away on Dec 8th 2024 in Canada. So i contacted IRCC and submitted the death certificate and requested IRCC to make my mother as the Primary Applicant in the application.
IRCC immediately (on the same day) replied and asked me to submit two forms with my mother as the primary applicant. The forms were IMM0008 and IMM1344 which I submitted on Jan 2nd 2025.
Yesterday evening I got an update that my previous application with my father being PA was cancelled in my gckey account and IRCC issued a new Application number to me with my mother as the PA.
they also mentioned that it will not delay the processing and the date of submission would be my original date of June 3rd 2024.

So I wanted to share with all to follow the procedure properly and IRCC will consider your case properly.
