Can you please send me the IRCC news link?
This is official link - https://gazette.gc.ca/rp-pr/p1/2025/2025-01-04/pdf/g1-15901.pdf

Key points :
  1. Number of applications to be accepted for processing in a year
Only applications received in 2024 will be accepted for processing in 2025.These Instructions authorize a maximum of 15 000 sponsorship applications received in 2024
  2. Order for processing-
Applications meeting the applicable conditions established by these Instructions are processed in the order in which they are received by the Department.

Some questions for the group:
1) what would happen to the remaining applications received in 2024 in excess of 15,000. Will they be safe? What if they don’t process them.
2) IRCC originally said they would accept 20,500 complete applications in 2024. Is the difference between the 20500 and 15000 just those people that didn’t meet all the conditions for processing? So does that mean everyone that meets the requirements for 2024 batch will all be processed this year?

I have applied for my parents in 2020 still no invitation.. Are they gonna send new invites? I guess no new invites for 2025 and they ll only process all applications sent till 2024. Correct me if i am wrong.

This is really poorly written. It is unclear if they will keep processing 2024 applications up to 15k and likely hold onto the rest for processing the next year or they are reducing the target for 2024 to 15k for anyone in processing. Most summer PGP applicants have received AOR so they have started processing. So when are they stopping processing? The 2nd round in 2023 would have also only received AOR in 2024. They also have around 40k application already in processing since September 2024 so will they approve 24.5k next year which likely means no PGP2024 applications.

1. All applications accepted for 2024 should be safe, but the only change will be the processing time. Only 15,000 applications will be processed, and the rest will be carried over to the following years.

2. Only 15,000 applicants will have permanent residence visas issued in 2025 by first come first out biases. All other applicants are expected to receive their visas in 2026. Otherwise, it could lead to significant legal issues for the government. Therefore, all accepted applications will be processed, but at a slower pace.

Processing orders could depend on how quickly applicant reply back to office requests.

As 2024 is passed. So, they are reducing target for 2025 to include 2023 files plus 15k from 2024.

As mentioned in gazette, “Invitations to submit a sponsorship application were issued to potential sponsors in 2024 using a randomized selection process”

Therefore 2023 applications are not included in 15k.

My parents file was submitted on July 28/2024 and I got ADR request on Jan 03 asking to resubmit imm5678 and imm5669 within 30 days.
Letter says imm5669 must be printed and signed by hand before submitting it.

I am aware that Imm5678 required hand signature.
However, I just downloaded imm5669 and it says to type your full name in the box at bottom to sign it electronically ....I am not sure if I just type my parents name or have them sign by hand? They are back home so it would be bit difficult for signing by hand.
just typing their name as form suggest would be sufice?
Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks
Hi, I got a similar letter. Our submission dates and ADR request dates are the same.

Form imm5669, I have downloaded the form and there is option to sign it and mention date. I do not see where it says type your full name in the box at bottom to sign it electronically. I am having my parents print, sign, date and send it back.

I’m a bit worried - I submitted everything on July 31, and still have no AOR. Is ADR received in place of AOR in case there are missing documents? Has everyone here who submitted in July received their AOR?
