I (sponsor) received a letter from IRCC which stated the AOR and asked for PCC. This letter is dated November 15, 2024 and it was sent to my old address (I had filled the application when I was living there) I just got the letter today from my old landlord on December 31st (I am unsure if Canada Post strike had lead to any delays). My parents applied for their PCC today since they came back a few days ago from their trip.

Q1) Is there a time limit like the number of days in which I need to submit my parents PCC? The letter didn't state any timeline, it just mentioned "please obtain and submit as soon as possible". I am really worried about this, if someone can please clarify.

Q2) How can I update my (sponsor) address for future reference.

Q3) When can and should I link the PR Portal Application with GC Key?

Any time after you receive file number some applicants were able to link before that also.

This is generic email / letter. Even though you can submit PCC at anytime but VO will send specific request for PCC.
Try to include your email and new address while updating address through webform or as mentioned in Letter.
By adding an email address, you will receive all correspondence via email instead of regular mail. Which will reduce time needed to reply back.

Sounds good, thank you very much. I had submitted my correct email ID, I received ADR on the email but the AOR and PCC letter came via mail, not sure why.

If you're applying from a country that doesn't need a visa (only the eTA):
The embassy asks for :
1. Copy of your passport (the page with your picture, date of validity and whatever add-ins were added).
2. A copy of the letter informing you to bring these to the embassy and receive the "Confirmation of Permanent Residency"
3. Photos (specific directions provided).
They ask ONLY these three things, but they say that "to RETURN" the documents you need to make arrangements with the courrier.
What "documents" am I supposed to get back?
Those are just COPIES, no passports or any official documents (maybe except the photos).
Am I supposed to get an email or something informing me that the "Confirmation of Permanent Residency" was created/delivered/prepared for pick-up?
And THAT would be the service I would ask a courrier to go and pick up based on the file number?
That is not the "Permanent Resident Visa", because as far as I know, the PR is delivered at your landing in Canada, isn't it?

Can somebody shed some light on this?

And just a warning - the English version of this particular letter is different than the French version.

Answers Q1: I think there is no time limit as the main purpose of this letter is AOR and to alert the applicant to get things in order.
Q2: Webforms. Now that you have AOR you also have application number.
Q3: Now.

Hi all, I applied in July 2024, received a 5 page letter today asking for revisions and resubmission of some forms. Country : India. I have a couple of questions:

1.Imm5768- Financial Evaluation - Forms was signed but the letter asks to sign it, does it need to be hand-written signature ? I had electronically signed the forms.
2. Proof of Relationship - My last name is missing from my birth certificate, school certificates etc and I provided a notarized affidavit. But the letter says affidavit's are not acceptable. What can I provide or should I provide explanation letter ?
3. Do the IMM5669 and IMM5406 forms need to be signed by principal applicant and dependent ? When I filled the forms on the PR Portal there was no option to sign the forms.
4. Proof of Relationship - Provided an notarized affidavit for my father and mother's relationship/marriage. but letter notes affidavit's are not acceptable. Their marriage certificate has last name missing.

Thanks in advance, any inputs are appreciated :)

My parents' GC Key account shows their Biometrics number in it. Does it mean they do not need to give Biometrics again? they gave this biometrics during their supervisa application? Thank you.
they will get a letter to go for biometrics again. PR biometrics are different then visas.

Affidavits are not accepted as proof of relationship
But if its about spelling error or no last name you can always attach an certified affidavit stating aaaa singh grewal is same as aaaa singh
Send aadhar card and voter ID card for parents relationship (spouse names are on it)
