I submitted my Application last November 23, 2023 and until now still no update and no AOR.
Is there anyone here still waiting? what's going on with IRCC?

Hi All,
My parents got a latter for submitting the police clearance certificate. We have applied for the police clearance certificate already but have not yet received. The letter states that we must notify the office if we are unable to submit the documents before the due date with proof. I have two questions:
1. Which email address do I write to?
2. What proof can I provide?
It would be great to hear if anyone has any experience in this before.

2) Screenshot of Online status (if under process) or Screenshot of courier tracking (if in transit).

I did the same and they granted me one month extension.

This is the first communication I received after submitting application in November.

Biometrics letter has application number on it starting with Fxxxx but cannot link application to GCKEY

I did receive this email with attached letter below.



Dear Sponsor,

This letter confirms that your Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class was received
by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) at the Case Processing Centre in
Mississauga on behalf of the following family member(s):

Principal Applicant name (parents)

Please note that the following documentation will be required for your sponsorship
application to determine whether you meet the minimum necessary income requirements to
sponsor a parent or grandparent. In order to minimize processing delays, if not already included
in your application, please obtain and submit as soon as possible:
• A completed and signed authorization form – IMM 5768 - Financial Evaluation for Parents
and Grandparents Sponsorship providing your Social Insurance Number.
o If you selected “Yes” to the Statement of Consent on this form and provided your
Social Insurance Number, you authorize IRCC to request information from Canada
Revenue Agency (CRA) in regards to your, or the cosigner’s (if applicable), income
tax information for the three consecutive years immediately preceding the received
date of your application.
OR
o If you selected “No” to the Statement of Consent on this form then you would need to
provide in addition, a completed form - IMM 5748 - Income Sources for the
Sponsorship of Parents and Grandparents and an original OPTION C-Printout
for the three consecutive years immediately preceding the received date of your
parents and grandparents sponsorship application. This document is not the same
as the Notice of Assessment and the Option C available on your My Account.
The Option C document is available free of charge by calling the CRA. To obtain this
document please call CRA at 1-800-959-8281.
If you are a resident of Quebec, you are not required to provide the above documents


My questions are,

Is this the AOR?

I did submit the financial evaluation saying YES so that IRCC can access my CRA income. Do i have to send one again?

Hi, we have similar situation. I am also Nov applicant. And I received biometric request Monday. I tried to use F# + UCI, it didn’t work. And I eventually used names + passport information and linked with GCkey. You can try this too.

Just got AOR from Mississauga today. In the letter it only mentions my dad's name (main applicant). Is that normal?

My mom got her sponsorship invite,I am preparing her docs.. can she travel while app is in progress..
If she received her PCC, biometrics and medical while she's here what to do ??
Can she do all of it from here ?

Hi All,
Mine is an inland application - Parents are currently in Canada, my timelines as below,

April 24, 2024 - Sponsorship eligibility approved
April 28, 2024 - Medical passed and updated in GCkey online
May 6, 2024 - Biometrics completed and updated in GCkey online

PCC was already submitted along with application and currently there is nothing pending from my end. It's been almost 1.5 months since Medicals and Biometrics and there is no update till now. The status in GCkey online remains the same as "We are processing your application".

Based on the posts of inland applications in this forum, decision was made within 2 weeks after medical and biometrics completion. However my application is still in the same status.

Is this normal processing time or should I contact IRCC customer care to check further on this? Can someone please respond on this?

Yes, happened to me too. Subsequent letters have both of my parents names on them. Don't worry.
P.S. this question was already answered in this thread.

Hi everyone, pls I have a question, how can I link my application to Gckey with the XF application number. I am the sponsor of my mom. I just want to keep track of the application. I guess the XF number is a temporary one, it appears on the letters I got requesting for additional documents. Pls how can I link the application or do I have to wait for the AOR. I sent the additional docs in June. Pls somebody help me out. Thanks

Yes. It only has the Principal Applicant's name. That is normal.

Yes this is AOR. Entirely upto you, you could resend a fresh form or ignore if you have already submitted.

Differs case by case. Some Oct 2023 submissions have already landed.

Anyone can help me here : I am in process in submitting my mom's application.. she plans to travel to Canada around December /Jan .. can she do the PCC, biometrics and medical here Incase she received the request while she's here in Canada ??
