Online status on the GC-Key account shows:

Final Decision
July 31, 2024 Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

What does this mean? Medical was passed July 29th. We submitted PCC without them requesting a week ago but the online account does not show anything about PCC.

Are we close to the finish line? Vancouver Office is processing our file.

Call and talk to an agent. They can help you link. I understand the frustration as you don’t know where you are until you get an email from them.
What email ID did you use to create the GCkey account? The email ID of the sponsor or the parent?

hi Tariq, try entering correct number of persons in the number of family members box along with other information as for me it was 3 but I was entering 5 including my kids.

1 - Sponsor + applicant and spouse = 3

2- sponsor+ co signer + applicant and spouse = 4

Hope that helps.
Thank you, I will try that. What email ID did you use to create the GCkey account? The email ID of the sponsor or the parent?

it looks like I was finally able to link the application. THANK YOU. However, now it shows submitted as Aug 1 , 2024 which is today's date. I am guessing it shows that date as the date when the application was linked to GCKey account?

Now since I have finally got access to GCkey account linked with the app, this is what it says.

Review of eligibility
  • We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results
  • July 17, 2024 You passed the medical exam.

Background check
  • Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.
Final decision
  • Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.
I can understand that the final decision isn't made yet. They haven't even asked for PCC yet. However, how is it possible that the medicals and biometrics are already done and they're reviewing the eligibility? (the first bold point) ? Does that make sense to anyone else?

Hi, please I really need answers
My mum has been in Calgary for 2 years now, I have already linked her application to her cic account. It says medical passed. And her biometrics still valid till 2027.
This morning I received a direct email on both the sponsors email and the email associated with her cic online account from an agent requesting for:
1, police certificate from back home
2, Forms 5569 and 5406
3, birth certificate
4, national id
5, biometrics fees and biometrics.

Please my confusion are :
1, is the request really from immigration? because I thought they are supposed to communicate or request for anything through her cic online account? Rather than direct emailing.
2, since her biometrics is still valid on the online cic account and states it is not needed, why the request for biometrics?
3, please if we need to do the biometrics, any recommendations of where to go for it in Calgary?
Thanks in advance
