Very unfortunate timing...I wish you good luck and trust you will soon be on track.Good morning! I am in a fix and need guidance.
I got a letter from cic asking to resend the financial statement form again as the signature was missing and they want it to be current aka new date of signature.
The problem is now I am unemployed as there was yet another layoff at work.
So should I update the form to reflect the employment status? Will that impact the decision process? What happens if I don't update the employment status?
Thanks for your help.
My views:
1. If you do not comply with doc request, this will get into overdue status and not sure if you will be able to attach and submit again or need to contact ircc and share separately.
2. Income requirement is considered on full tax year earnings and I think even couple of months unemployment may not matter as long as the yearly targets are met.
3. Not disclosing may lead to suppression of facts. IRCC will anyway can view the CRA data if you have given consent.
4. If you have a co-sponsor and jointly you are way above the income slabs defined, i personally feel it should not be a concern. Worthwhile to provide a letter of explanation and in case you are close to getting into a job offer, perhaps can highlight that as well. Since you will have 30 days, maybe can think of waiting for aome positive development till last week before providing any information
This is my personal thoughts and have not experienced or come across this situation. Maybe other members can add their valuable inputs..
