URGENT!!!!

Mom got PPR, didn’t notice the email. Checked after 13 days. Now feel like late for submitting Passport to VFS.
Got appointment for passport submission on Oct 30th. What are the chances they accept it and not ask for new passport letter from ?
Only 10 working days for the validity of passport request letter.

can you guys please confirm the following docs?
1. Appointment letter from VFS
2. passport request letter from IRCC
3 two photographs 50x70
4. Consent form for VFS( is this required as principle applicant is going to her appointment)
5. Courier/ SMS request form ( this form was attached in email, do we still need this form even if we are picking up stamped passport in person from VFS office ???
6. Original passport ofcourse

Am I missing anything else ??????
Congratulations on your progress. Can you please provide an updated timeline?

Hi Admin,
My timeline for Mother and 1 dependent.

Invitation received: Oct 12, 2022
Application submitted: Dec 23, 2022
Requested re-sign on a for: Feb 15, 2023
Submitted re-signed form: Mar 13, 2023

No update/AOR since then. Please add it to the spreadsheet.
Would you mind sharing which form did they ask you to re-sign on Feb 15, 2023? And also what was the reason they didn't accept the original signature?
Thanks!

Thank you so much. Yes I will call them first thing in the morning.
Just called them today, they said file is still in progress and we don't need anything from you right now. On GCKey the Final decision made update came on Oct 12, 2023. Background check is still in progress.

Hi, we (primary applicant + 1 dependent) applied for PR under parents sponsorship last year. Unfortunately, dependent suffers from cancer and hence they have requested additional medical tests 3 months from now. Previously too dependents super visa was not approved (possibly due to same reason). Considering this we are wondering if primary applicant PR process can be separated from dependent application? For example, can we request, primary applicant medical alone to be considered and process the primary applicant PR immediately. At a later stage, if additional medical tests come positive for dependent, then dependent PR can be processed?
Hi @monopoly. Sorry to hear about this. Have you considered a mitigation plan to deal with managing the cancer - https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/inadmissibility/reasons/mitigation-plans.html

It is difficult to say if it will be 21 months or more. I suspect it will be more (reasons stated in my previous response) unless they decide to prioritize PGP applications which is rather unlikely. The text published states:"Processing times in a given year are calculated based on 80% of applications finalized in the last 12 months and are not necessarily applications received in that year. Furthermore, the start of the processing time is determined when the application has been deemed complete as opposed to when the applications is received."
80% in 12 months is really for family sponsorship and has never been associated with PGP. Wait times have varied when it comes to PGP but most have waited longer than 1 year whetever the year.

I've read with interest the posts where parents are currently in Canada. This is my situation too - I'm the parent/grandparent and arrived last Oct with my passport for 6 months and applied for a Visitor Record since my Parent & Grandparent Super Visa (PGSV) application from May 2021 had fallen into a black hole! After reading the forums here, I submitted a 2nd application in May 23; got biometrics done; and the ORIGINAL application was then processed by mid June! However since I was back in Canada with a 6 month Visitor Record at that point, I hadn't been able to activate the PGSV.

In the interim, the PGP Sponsorship has been thankfully ticking along in the background after my son was successfully selected as a sponsor in the 2022 batch.

Roll on to this October, and I received the pre arrival services invitation letter about 2 weeks ago, then 2 days after that date, an email with the Montreal IRCC letter attached to return details like dates of entry, passport number, my height etc. which I submitted on 19th Oct.
So now, I'm awaiting the return email from them which gives me access to the PR Portal with an additional tab that they provide access to called "Confirmation of Permanent Residence". I can then submit photo etc and they send PR card out to my address here in Canada.

I've never lived for this long with as many fingers crossed and checking emails 20 times a day! It would be brilliant if I had the eCOPR by the time I go back to the UK, mid Nov so that I can arrange shipping and tie up loose ends whilst I'm back on the UK. I know that's a lot to ask, but that would be the ideal so I can get my stuff shipped over and buy a house here!
My processing office is Mississauga by the way....

Any idea how much longer I may need to wait for this return email so I can submit the photo etc on the CoPR section of the PR Portal as in approximately how long have others waited for this stage? The majority are external applicants and I didn't even know this part of the process I'm going through even existed!
