Hi,
I am applying for my parents and I have been in canada since July 2019. So my first tax return was less than 12 months. Am I eligible to apply or it will be an issue?
As long as you met the minimum income for 2019 and you filed your tax return, I don't think there would be a problem.

So you have been in Canada since 2019 and applied for PGP in 2020 meeting 3 years LICO, and your parents got an invitation within the last two weeks. As long as you meet LICO for the number of people in your family for 2019, you can apply for PR.

Wow , i must say you are very lucky that you get invitation this year and not before . If you meet 2019 income requirement i think your chances are very high.
I feel bad that so many people who were qualify and still didn't get invitation because many ineligible people also fill out interest to sponsor form in 2020 . :/

I earned CAD 24,000 in 2019 and I am sponsoring my both parents so do I meet LICO requirement? I am confused because on website there are different information available. On Canada webpage it says
$40,444 - 2021$39,672-2020$50,414-2019

if this is criteria then I dont qualify based on 2019 tax requirements. please advise

So your parents received an invitation last week in the lottery? No confusion, the link is attached. You need $50k for 2019 and if you don't meet it then your parents are not eligible. The application will be refused.

How much income do I need to sponsor my parents and grandparents? (cic.gc.ca)

I'm so sorry but you didn't meet the minimum income for 2019.
Your NOA for 2019 should have at least $50,414 to sponsor both of your parents

hi all, here is my situation,
applied, interest to sponsor parents 14 October 2020
got an invitation on 13 October 2022
application submitted 18 October 2022
Hello, congrats on applying. I am also applying and confused about how to submit 2 applications at the same. Should I create my own PR portal using my email and then my dad (primary applicant) creates another PR portal using his email (mother as his dependent)? The 2020 interest form had my email. Please advise. Thank you.

Hi , If you are sponsoring both parents and you are single then your family size is 3 , So on table look at the row - 3 people - Amount is $50,414.
if you made some money abroad like in your home country that you forget to disclose then you may send it for reassessment , but you must fill out the form after new NOA of 2019 is delivered to you via email and your income is fixed . talk to your tax advisor . There is a deadline to submit the application .

Why are you submitting 2 application ? Are you doing one for sponsoring wife and other to sponsor Parents ? you can do both using your own portal , Just click on "Start new application"

thats unlikely option since i was on career break and only started during the year. However my 2020-2022 income is above 85,000 but I am not sure if this will help?

I am Sorry that wont help , they have clearly mentioned you must qualify for 2019 income requirement as well . I think you will have to wait for next pool to open and then you can resubmit the interest form .

No just one sponsorship for both parents. So, I can submit all the forms for parents and myself (sponsor) under my pr portal using my email? Do I need to submit representative form if my parents forms/documents are under my portal?
