thanks canuck78, fkor the insight. I have received an email asking for a document, (my mothers passport all pages), but I emailed them the document, as I am unable to review my application, let alone upload or edit a document. I am hoping thats okay, i called call center here, was asked to call India, so waiting for Monday now...Thank you,
You need to use webform to submit your parent's passport scanning I guess. Find how in your account.

Hello everyone!

Hope all is well with you all. First of all thank you so much for your continued support to this community seeking insights for immigration issues for theri families.
Your support is so vital in thier quest to get their families reunited in Canada. My sincere thanks to Canuck78, Armoured, Steaky & Scylla for their support in this success story, please do keep this up and I will also do my part, pay back to those in need, my way within the community...

Here is my update so far:
With your help I was able to research and apply for my parents PRTD on H & C grounds and it has been approved for my father, his passpost is already stamped with PRTD however mother's application just says in progress...I did submit them as Urgent based on my father's health condition. My question is does it have anything to do with only my fathers health condiotion while my story says they are both very old, 85 plus age and do require family support and be reunited to family in Canada,,? I have queried update through webform and email, also online application status, they all say: in progress, we are reviewing eligibility....the deadline for my father return to canada is October 15, fast approaching...the old folks need time to prepare for this travels...

Please share your insight, many thanks!

I'm not sure any of us are going to be able to comment. What were the specific H&C considerations you submitted for your mother?

I don't think I can provide any further help. You'll just have to wait for the response on your mother's PRTD. Make sure your father arrives in Canada before his PRTD expires. This is going to be very important since he may not get a second chance.

thanks Scylla for the info, oh wow...so they dont consider older couple as one application and treat them as separate, even though the grounds are similar for application? It is pretty strange for me to understand....

Make sure to take out travel medical insurance (and read the fine print about pre-existing conditions) for your father because it could take many months before he qualifies for provincial healthcare. He will need to apply for a new PR card when he returns to Canada which is required in many provinces to qualify for provincial healthcare.

Thank you, Canuck78, will do!

I am thinking of requesting my fathers deadline to enter with PRTD, is it possible even? In this case, what should I do, cant leave my mother there alone and bring just my father here in October....what are my options here..?

Please share your insight, many thanks!

None of us can tell you what is happening with your mother's application.

Your father's PRTD cannot be extended. You would need to apply for a new PRTD without any guarantee it will be approved. Best option is for him to travel to Canada before his current PRTD expires. Based on your previous posts, his PRTD was approved months ago so he's had lots of time to prepare.

Thanks Scylla! Ok, we can have my father here by October, but what are my chances to have my mothers applciation reviewed and have a positive outcome, even after a month or so...is there anythign I can do to try get it before October, so she doesnt have to be left alone in India..it is heartbreaking to separate them in this situation, (lot has happened recenty..) Appreicate!

what if her application does not get approved then they will be separated for a while...while mom being so vulnerable...having no one to take care for her

Unfortunately there's nothing you can do but wait for the decision.

Do you have any relatives to support her in India?
You might also want to plan for the worst case where your mother's application does not get approved.

It would be the choice of lossing PR for both of them or having them be separated for a while and you need to find alternative care for your mom at the time being.

In case your mom's PRTD is refused, if your dad can enter and meet his RO again, he can sponsor your mom (as spouse) and that's regardless of her medical condition (except communicable disease which is only temporary).
