You don't need a job offer.

There is no inland option to sponsor a dependent child.

Thank you. Can you please help me with the below queries.

1. If my baby is born to us PR holders then can we initiate the TRV/TRP process as soon as we have the baby's passport?

2. If TRV gets rejected can we immediately apply for TRP or resubmit TRV

3. If I have to sponsor the child with (birthcertficate/passport/medicals) then can I do it as soon as I land back in Canada. I will be staying in pg and would be looking for a job. In that case will applying for PR be useful.

Please help with these queries.

Thank You,

In sponsorship application for new born baby, is it necessary for spouse to be a cosigner or can we leave the sections blank. ?

In one of the forms for sponsor ship undertaking, if spouse is not residing in Canada, then it seems he or she is not eligible to be a co signer

Not necessary.

Does it mean that if you take ur child on TRV,you cannot sponsor his PR in Canada while he or she is with parents

No. It means that the app cannot be processed inside Canada. It would be processed outside of Canada.

@Rocky83 Have you applied for TRV for your Baby. What documents did you submit for TRV/TRP

Hi Guys,
I received the PPR yesterday.
However, I am in a kind of situation now and seeking some guidance from you guys.

We had applied for my husband and my PR application, me being the primary applicant.
I received the PPR yesterday, and now I am 3 months pregnant.

I wish to have my delivery in India to have the support of family and avoid the stress of moving country at this time.
I am ok to make a soft landing first and my cousin could collect my PR card and ensure it reaches me safely.

I have heard, that once the PR is approved, I will have to sponsor my child under family sponsorship which I can do only if I am in Canada.
what should I do now?

Also, can my husband who is a dependent PR applicant, sponsor our child from Canada, if we consider him moving to Canada post delivery and me being on PR status, but birthing the baby in India and staying here until the baby is allowed to travel?

PS: I would not prefer going to Canada and giving birth to the baby, as that would mean losing the family support, maternity benefits, mediclaim benefits from my current employer. Plus, I cannot be on my own in this phase, and if my husband comes along, it would be like both of us are risking our jobs at once.

What are the viable options you guys can think of and know that they are legal and would be acceptable by CIC?
How did you guys go about your children's sponsorship, TRV or any other means to travel along.

Any help would be appreciated.

Your husband can come to Canada and sponsor the child. You can apply for a TRV for the child.nof refused, you can apply for a TRP. If that is refused, the child can't come to Canada until PR is approved. Your husband must reside in Canada throughout the process, so be prepared to be mostly separated for up to a year. A few short trips are OK.

Thank you for the reply..

Can the TRV be applied while the sponsorship application is already in process?
how soon can we apply for sponsorship or temporary visa after the baby's birth?

Yes.

As soon as your spouse is in Canada and you have the required documents.

My infant/new born just received his TRP valid for 6 months. I’m a PR hinder. He underwent Medical’s before he was given a TRP. Will he have to undergo medical again after he lands for his PR or it won’t be needed now? Also- how long after landing and submitting the application does it take for an infant’s PR to be processed?

Just wanted to know how much time did it take to get passport stamped with TRP after you submitted the CAD 200 receipt and which country u applied from?

Is the TRP multiple entry?

I am in a similar situation for my 3 months' old, I received CAD 200 receipt request after 45 days of applying for TRV. Will it again take 45 days to get TRP?

No, he likely won't need another medical. Expect 8-10 months.

HI ANAAR,
does the TRP Validity of 6 months count from the day of landing?
