You do not have to include your spouse as a co-signer. But you cannot exclude your spouse in the family size until you are divorced.
I hope you have enough income for 4.
It's sad but if your marriage isn't stable, co-signer for your spouse isn't really of best interest. It will be 20 years under taking once it's signed. (regardless if you are still married to that person)

If you 2 are legally seperated, may be you can not include her in family size BUT I do not know. The IRCC document isn't very clear on spouse in the process of getting a divorce. (My take is until it's final, you are still married but others may have a better idea)

does anyone know how long will it take get AOR. I have sent parents application on Feb 20. I received an email from IRRC on April 09 about missing info in one of the forms. I sent them the requested form back.
how would I send them NOA for 2020. I receive it yesterday from CRA. Should I upload it via webform?

Sponsorship is a 12-24 process so things will take time. Given that they identified that something was missing likely 1-2 months. If you gave access to your CRA account you don't need to submit your NOA.

I didn't give access to CRA account so I have to submit my NOA.

Question to all:
I have submitted the interest to sponsor application last year 2020 for my parents however I didn't get picked in the lottery. Would I need to reapply again this year on Sept 20th, 2021? Please let me know.

Thanks,
Alam

Hi there. I have been trying for six years and finally received the invitation this October. I have some questions regarding:
1. Passport. My mom's passport will be expiring in July 2022 but I already got an appointment for her to renew, scheduled in October 2021. Deadline of my submission for sponsorship is in the first week of December 2021. My question is if ever the new passport does not arrive on or before the submission date, shoulder I just give the old passport and include the receipt of the new passport ? Thanks.

2. Counting family members. I have a brother but he is 52 years old already. It says there that count of family members is just dependent children. So, my understanding is he is not counted on the family member anymore as he is not a dependent (is that correct)
and if so, for the family background, should I still include him? Thanks .
