Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2021

Hello all,

I am 25th Nov applicant and today I received email asking for additional information form (imm 5406- for dependent). I have submitted that document and was completed thoroughly.

This was the message:

IMM 5406 (for Dependant): The Additional Family Information (IMM 5406) provided
was not completed fully. Please provide a current, completed, signed and dated
Additional Family Information (IMM 5406) for the Principal Applicant and all
dependents aged 18 and over, whether accompanying or not. Each individual must
sign their own copy of this form by hand.

Sections A, B and C must be fully completed. The Name, Marital Status, Relationship
to applicant, Date of birth, Country of birth, and Address must be filled. The street
number, street name, city, postal/zip code and country are mandatory for Canada and
USA addresses. All other countries must provide the City, Province/State/Parish and
Country.


I think it wasn't sign by everyone and just me (sponsorer), so i will resubmit.

Can anyone please tell me what happens after i resubmit? will it get delayed? and what can I expect?

With the above mentioned email I have received the file number starting with XF--------- . What can I do with this? can I use it to link GC key?

me and my wife is in Canada. my Income if good for 4 people.
what if , a baby born and I have tp add my child name (dependent) on the application and than it will be 5 people on the application.
Is the applicate will refuse or it wont impact anything ?

I applied in Nov 2021. Now my question is will ircc check my 2021 income as well and if yes is there any number which we need for 3 ppl?
Also, I got married in 2022 will they consider my spouse dependent from 2022 or from 2018 in case of number of ppl in family. My spouse is already a citizen in canada.

Ircc will review 2018, 2019 and 2020 income. Your wife income wont be counted as you got married in 2022.

I also applied for my parents in March 2021 and submitted police clearance two month before. However, still waiting for CIC response. I think your "Decision Made" message is a good sign. Good Luck !

So how much time it took between receiving biometrics and police clearance? what about medical?

The IMM5406 we submitted when we applied wasn't the pdf version but the online one, signature of dependant wasn't required. Please complete the forms carefully and let the Principal applicant and dependents sign. The letter from IRCC usually state the people that are required to complete the form. Your signature isn't required.

I don't think the newborn would impact your application as the focus is on the no of people for the last 3 years in review . 2022 is not part of the years.

People say that the XF… number is a temporary file number and they were not able to link their application to GCkey using the XF… number.

Yes, I too remember that for IMM5406, it was online version, no hand signature required. Only IM1344 required physical signature of principal applicant, sponsor and co-sponsor. This is for Oct 2021 invitations. Let us know if anyone else has different understanding on forms which need hand signature

2022 will still be a factor. You must continue to meet LICO for your family size nd can be asked to prove it.

Yes if your 2022 income does not meet LICO for 5 people you can be denied. If the child is born in 2021 same thing.

Today got biometrics request for my parents. I applied in March 2021. What does it means? My CIC online status shows 'Decision Made'

Assume that is for the sponsor approval which is the stage after biometrics.

I received XF..... and i can't link this application. Upon further research, it seem like it's a temporary number. After receiving that, when should I be expecting a real application number?

I applied through a consultant on 22nd Oct 2021.
