Hi all. I have received a email from cic asking to submit parents CV along with the instruction to send them to specific email address.which i did.
The thing is , my application status in portsl now says returned.
do i also need to resubmit my application from portal as well?

When did you submit your application? I think, some also resubmitted it in the portal but please wait to hear from others who went through this.

When you submitted your application to permanent resident portal, under "view my permanent residence application" page, does it identify the "program" and "category"? mine are left blank.

You can read my previous posts, as i was asked too to resubmit some forms via email. So i submitted the via email but in order to change status for online portal, i submitted the letter of explanation and then re-submitted the application on online portal. There are some friends here who did the same. But do not re-submit the same forms online, as they say in letter not to submit duplicate copies, so attach letter of explanation that you sent the documents on email they asked and i am re-submitting the application so that status is summitted on online portal

I received invitation on 28th Sept and submitted the application on 6th Oct. So far there were no updates in my case. However I tried to link my parents application on GC Key this morning and it worked.

I was also able to see my parents biometric information which they submitted during visitor visa process in 2019.

My parents already had a GC key account which they created during their visitor visa process back in 2019. However email address on PR portal and GC Key is different. Hope this helps.
