there was no app # in the ghost update. i used principal applicant's UCI, last name and passport details. PA has visitor visa before so has UCI.

What status does it show at the moment ?

Didn't work for me either. I submitted on 01 oct. I tried with number of people in application as 2 ..also as 3 (including myself)

It's random but It's too soon to worry I guess.

I see a lot of recent comments related to linking of the application to the GCKEY. I'm sorry for my ignorance but can someone explain on what this means, what is its significance and what is the process to link the application to GCKEY. Thanks in advance.

I submitted for parents sposorship on November 24,2021. Did not received AOR yet.
Did anyone get any update on 2021 application for parents and grandparent sponsorship.

Its a mix. Some have got ghost updates. Some are still waiting. For some processing has started. I have applied around same time as you. I think it was 22-Nov. I dont have any update yet. If i go by trend on the posts, i generally see that those who have updates are the ones who submitted earlier in oct or early Nov. So they seem to be going on FIFO basis, which is fair.

First I submitted on October 8,2021 and then on November 23,2021 I received letter from cic for requested document IMM 5406 to as incomplete form which We did not find anything missing but still filled and followed the instruction as per letter. And then resubmit application on November 24,2021. Since then after didn't hear anything yet.

Linked application on IRCC account on January 10, 2022 with file number appeared in the account.

When I login to the portal, i dont see any additional link saying "Add (link) your application to your account to check your status” (as mentioned in the guideline). I already have an entry showing the status of my application. The current status is "Submitted".

When I login to the portal, i dont see any additional link saying "Add (link) your application to your account to check your status” (as mentioned in the guideline). You can see "Add" in GC key account. Not in Portal account.

I did online application to Permanent Resident Portal like everybody else. Linking it is through IRCC my account. Its not mandatory to link the application. But by doing so, you can track the status and get updates of your online application.

Hi All,

Submitted my parents application last October 20, 2021, but no ghost email or any notification.

Just to confirm, I used the Permanent Residence Portal to submitted their application under PA name and email address. The portal is correct right?
