I received an e-mail saying:
This is an automated message. Do not reply to this email.
This email is to notify you that your permanent residence application status has been updated on your IRCC Permanent Residence portal account.
To view your permanent residence application status, log into your IRCC Permanent Residence Portal account with your current log-in credentials.
You can access the portal using this link: https://prson-srpel.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/login
Thank you,
Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada

When I login, nothing new. Just "Status: Submitted" and the date the application was submitted (2021/10/11).
Thank you for the info. Did you received it from the email address you log in to the portal which is your email, not your parent’s email, am i right?

Just asking so I have an idea which email we will check. Our application was submitted last Oct 13, 2021.

something is missing in the information that you added ,or you made a mistake in the dates i.e you put the year but not the full date as required in principal your email can be used as a way to contact you and that is normal ,reverify the application line by line
Thank you! I figured that out. For the phone number, I didn't select the type.

I would like to apply under PGP program for my mother and trying to find information on where to start. I found this link:

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/family-sponsorship/sponsor-parents-grandparents.html

But it starts with the line "If you submitted the interest to sponsor", but it does not mention what to do if I did not express an interest in the past and would like to start one now.

---------------
About the process

If you submitted the interest to sponsor form in 2020 and were invited to apply to the 2021 intake, you can sponsor your parents and grandparents to become permanent residents of Canada.

--------------------

Any idea how to submit an "interest to sponsor form" and where to find the form and other information? Or at least to the page where it says this program is suspended or when it would re-open or anything in this line.

Appreciate some information on this. Thanks.

You cannot start one now.

If you have previous 3 years of Canadian income that meets the minimum income requirement to sponsor, then you can wait for the 2022 PGP program to open and submit your interest to sponsor. Then wait for the lottery result.

No one knows when the 2022 PGP will open. But looking at how late the 2021 PGP lottery was drawn, it's not likely in the first half of 2022.
BUT really no one knows for sure now.

Thanks for the response. But I was wondering about which is the page/link I should be looking to know when it opens again. Is it the same link I posted earlier? or some other web page? so that instead of googling everytime I can go to a specific page to see any update on this topic.

Thanks.

I think they will update the information in the link that you posted once the new program is available.

Or you can check their social media or here for update.

Sorry, if I went few steps further down, I would have found info what I was looking for which states:

-----------------
The 2020 interest to sponsor form is now closed

The first step to sponsor your parents or grandparents is filling out the interest to sponsor form. The form was available:

  • from noon EDT on October 13, 2020
  • to noon EST on November 3, 2020

The form is now closed and will stay closed.

The steps to apply to sponsor your parents and grandparents are a bit different for the 2021 process. We’ll invite enough people from the remaining 2020 pool of potential sponsors with the goal of accepting 30,000 new applications. We won’t open a new interest to sponsor form in 2021.

---------------

Looks like it is not going to open anytime soon.

Do we have to put names in native language as well in form IMM5406?
its clear in the guide for IMM 5406 that you need to add it yes , as a rule it is highly recommended that you read thoroughly the guide for each and every form before you start filling as the whole application might be returned after a long wait .

Hi guys, I am a newbie here. I will really appreciate your help in submitting my mom’s PGP application as an informal rep. I have completed the application and followed all the instructions in uploading all required documents but the submit button is still greyed out. The imm 008 is the only form not showing ready submit status however the online form is completed.

anybody else experienced this issue? What am I missing? Please help.

Hi, does IMM5669 need to be filled up for the spouse of the primary applicant even though the spouse is not a dependent to the primary applicant or is not being sponsored?

HI All,

I have received my Invitation email on Sept 24.
Though, I received my NOC from CRA today.
So I am applied today.

Is this an issue? I just realized that the email says 60 days from the date we received email. I thought Deadline was Dec 6 before 11:59 pm as mentioned in guideline. I am really confused and scared. Please clarify if I submitted late.

Thank you
