Hey guys,
For IMM 5768 question 14, do we have to fill family size equal to question 7 or would it be the current family size?
Earlier this year, my friend filled up current family size excluding the sponsored parent. She has not heard back from CIC yet.
Thoughts?

Guys,
Is there any guide or help on how to fill out the employment history (question 14) in IMM 5768? Should the work history be broken down by year? Let's say I started my current job on Sep 01, 2020. Should I enter it in one line and enter the cumulative income from last year+ this year until now? Or I should break it down to 2 rows? Like from
- Sep 01, 2020 to Dec 31, 2020
- Jan 01, 2021 to Present

Thanks

I have the same question, and I broke it up for now (per jobs, and then per taxable year). Any help would be appreciated!

A friend of mine who works as a freelance IT consultant for European clients while living in Canada asked me if he is able to use his income to sponsor his parents next year. He earns around $90K per year from this work and has been declaring his income on his taxes for the past 2 years.
Is this considered worldwide income? If so, does it mean he will never be eligible to sponsor his parents as long as his clients are based outside Canada?

To clarify, his clients all wire him money directly to his Canadian bank account.
The required income is based on line 150 of the NOA from Canada Revenue Agency. No matter what/where your friend earned his income, if he delares it and paying tax to CRA and being assessed yearly, his income is eligible to be considered for sponsorship.
So, in your friend's case, if his income on line 150 is 90K (or whatever he declares), then this is the income he will be assesed for eligibility

Hello Friends,
I have a scenario i need clarification with, In 2018 i January to mid April, i was on EI (received $7,244) then in April i got a job and earned $67,000 making it a total of $74,244 which makes my income for 2018 above the cut of $68,358.

My question is that will the EI i received be considered as part of my income for 2018 or just the one i received from my job in 2018

What does your NOA state since you would have claimed it.

Here is what it says Total income on line 150 is $74,590
And it the link, it states

To find out if you have enough income to be eligible, we use

  • your Total Income on line 150 of your Notice of Assessment (NOA) from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and
  • subtract any income that must be excluded
    • provincial payments for an instruction or training program
    • social assistance from a province
    • payments from the Government of Canada under a resettlement assistance program
    • regular Employment Insurance earnings (for 2018 and 2019 tax years)
    • Old Age Security payments

I am filling out IMM1344, and hopefully someone can help.

When I validate the form, it says that if applying online, don't need to sign by hand. But checklist (IMM5771) says:
o "be completed online, printed, signed by hand and dated by you (the sponsor), your co-signer (if applicable), and the person you are
sponsoring (principal applicant). Make a digital copy of the completed, signed and dated for "

So, do I need to print, sign the sponsor, co-signer, and application section, and then scan and upload the scanned form? Or no signing required?

Hello Everyone,

I need help with filling IMM5768.

I'm co-signing my wife in Q11, do I need to put my name as the spouse, it is so confusing!

Thanks so much!

Are you saying the regular employment issurance i received will be subtracted from the total income?
I thought employment insurance is not considered as social assistance.

EI is not social assistance as stated in the link provided. Have you read the link and the information provided to you. You subtract EI from line 150 for 2018.

Nope. I am co-signing my wife's application as well. Since we enter our name in 1A, it is not required in Q11.

If i subtract EI then my income is $67,346. With this income is it should my family size be consider as 5 in 2018 while was living alone but married and my wife was not with me at that time. my wife joined me in canada in Dec, 24th 2018. so will my family size then be 2 or 5 since i am sponsoring my father, my step mum and their dependent child.
