Hi,

Yes I was sponsored by my spouse. So I'm still eligible to sponsor my mom correct? Thank you!
If the answer to Question 5 is YES, then you have to check for the second condition " and you are sponsoring a spouse, common-law or conjugal partner".

most likely you are not meeting the second condition, so I believe you can sponsor your parents. Still I will request other senior members to comment on this.

My friends' parents sputum test took 2 months. Another chest x-ray at the end of 3 months. I don't have personal experience of the process though, and perhaps it's case by case.
What did the panel doctor say when your parents went for the sputum collection?
same timeline, was just wondering how long from then to PPR

Hey guys. Few days ago I have received an email saying that I have outstanding biometric fee to pay. I applied for my parents and paid only for my father's biometrics, as my mom had a visitor visa and she made her biometrics in 2020. So I am assuming doesn't matter if they have their biometrics done or not anyway the fee should be paid? Doesn't make any sense to me. Anyone has the same issue? Thanks

Any help on this:
I was trying to check the portal, and the status is showing 'Submitted' but the 'View' option is not active. Does anyone have a similar experience?

Yes in our case biometric fee for PA as well as dependent was paid whereas the dependent had already biometrics on record. While finalising the application IRCC refunded $85 through cheque. So you have the option either to convince them or pay and get refund later on.

Yes everyone has similar experience. After submission of application you can't view anything here. You can see status in your gckey account after linking your application there. Hope this will reduce your anxiety.

Hi, I submitted an application to sponsor my parents in December 2021. I received the acknowledgment of receipt of the application by ICRC Case Processing Center today but it only mentions my Father's name in the letter and not my mother's. Is that normal?

Hello, I have noticed that for some 2021 applications the time from applying to PPR is about 12-18 months but for some it's much longer. Wondering if it makes a difference if parents are in Canada on visitor or super visa vs in home country (india)? Please advise.

No any difference.

No any difference.
Thank you for the quick reply.

The processing time on IRCC website is 37 months right now. So, is it just random how quickly the application gets processed? Is there a tracker for the 2021 applications where I can see the actual processing times? Thanks

Once you submitted, it will be locked. You now have to wait till you receive the confirmation (may take a couple of months) to link your application to GCKey.

Yes , its normal to have Principal applicant's name on the AOR.

I had exactly the same request, my dad needed biometerics while my mom's were done last year for super visa renewal so i only paid for one intially...I repaid the fee to avoid any delays and sent the receipt. as later on, i can always get refunded.
