Hello Everyone,
I got passport request for my parents. Can someone guide me about virtual landing for USA citizen and also how to find VFS centre for passport submission. Thanks

Hi Friends,

I applied for my parent in Dec 2021, they did medical on March 2023 but no news after that. Is there any sheets we can see the status of other applicant?

Hello Can someone please advise wha is the process to reach out to local MP?
quebec applicant here. File submitted Nov 6, 2022 by 2023 August all the steps was completed.background, medical police clearance additional document everything. But i never received any communication form IRCC for a whole year. In 2024 my parent's medical expired and IRCC asked to redo the medical. We did and passed. As i mentioned i am a Quebec applicant, we need something call CSQ which is approval from Quebec ministry and that comes with expiry date usually issued for2 years. which is expiring beging of 2025. And the process to reapply for CSQ is difficult too. My parents background check completed also. Only Eligibility is still under review.


Quebec processing time is 48 months today, when I submitted back in 2022 it was 14months. my file is at Missisauga Ontario or rest of canada processing time is much shorter. My concern is my file being pushed back because according to the new processing time in QC I am still within the time frame. We cannot keep redoing all these test and I would like to bring this in attention to my MP who can escalate my file. What is the process to reach out local MP can someone please guide me?

Also the new immigration cut and rules applied to PGP who applied as well or its only for the Skilled program?

Hi Everyone, quick question I was accepted to sponsor my parents in 2021 I'm in new brunswick the ircc received my documents the 13 november 2021 i just checked today the portal to see the status it's still the same stuck in submitted I don't understand the issue is it just me or is anyone else experiencing the same issue ? thanks in advance for your time for reading my message and helping.

Hi Guys

Parents received an Email to confirm their landing date and place along with next steps. I have replied to the email as requested. Now awaiting an email from portal to upload the photo and the current address.

Does anyone know how long it might take for the second email?

All done, Parents are now officially Permanent Residents.

Received an email today to download the eCOPR. Thank you to all those helped me with their valuable answers and suggestions through out this journey. Good luck!

I called my local MP in Montreal. and they told me until i passed the processing time they cannot help me with anything. When i initially submitted my file, processing time was 24 months and that changed to 48 months. my file has been in limbo for a year now. alreay did my medical 2 times. my parents CSQ is about to expire in few months. Any suggestion I can do expedite our application?

Unfortunately many are in the same boat.
I think CSQ expiring is fine, they won't ask you to re-apply for it. The cost of having to redo medicals every year is really annoying though.

HEY, same happened with me too. Were your wife's parents able to enter Canada without COPR?
