Hi. I have a quick question - can I add my husband as a co sponsor to my file. I am not sure if I added him when I applied to sponsor my parents.

@scylla - can you please provide me with your views ?

I have received the invite for my parents. I am the sponsor(husband), my income is much lower than my wife(co-signer) but our combined income is $100k plus for last so many years so I am assuming we are good from the MNI perspective. While checking the sponsor’s financial ability, can the IRCC say that you being the sponsor are earning very less compared to your co-signer so you won’t be able to support the parents? could this lead to unsuccessful decision or rejection?
Thanks in advance.
It does not matter who is making more. As long as the combined income is above the required amount. You qualify.

We got an invitation letter yesterday to sponsor my in-laws. We applied from Ontario. I have a quick question please. I had sponsored my husband to come to Canada in 2016. He landed in November 2016 and we have been living together since then. As a co-signer, do I have to declare him as my undertaking or did that end after 3 years? He has been employed since 2017 without a break on his employment. I am confused whether I should declare him or not? I also wanted to add that he has done his citizenship test and we’re waiting to receive the invitation for the oath ceremony. Thank you in advance for your help.
He is not part of your undertaking BUT he is part of your family. So you need to count him for the family size calculation.

Hello folks,
Do I need to fill out 2 IMM 1344 forms if I am sponsoring my parents (both my mother and my father)? If not, which forms should be filled out separately for each parent?
Please ... Can someone please answer this? There is no field for the dependant in form 1344. Should I fill out one form for each parent?

Are you parents divorced? If not, one is the principle applicant and the other is the dependent.
SO NO. Just 1application to sponsor form. IMM1344. Why do you need to fill out the depenend info in 1344.

That information is related to the PA.

Hello everyone,
I received the invitation yesterday to apply for my parents. I have a quick question to ask. Since I used my own email when I submitted the interest form in 2020. And I am aware that my parents would need to make an account on online portal to fill and submit their application. Do they need to use a different email to sign up or they would use the same email I used in interest form.

Yeah no kids.. but why would they consider 6 for 2018... my wife did not Co-sign for my parents app... so in this situation my wife is not eligible to sponsor? that would be really frustrating...
Because you have sponsored your parents and you are a co-signer. You have to include those who you have sponsored in the count since you are a co-signer in your wife's application.

In short, sponsor, his/her partner (potential co-signer), people who the sponsor (and co-signer, if applicable) have already sponsored/co-signed in the past, and the people who the sponsor (and co-signer) are now sponsoring (and co-signing) must be counted towards determining the family size. Sponsor's (and co-signer's, if applicable) kids are counted from the year they were born.
RIGHT?

RIGHT?
Yes. IRCC wants to see the sponsor(s) have sufficient income to cover everyone they are responsible for, including past sponsorships that are either still in progress or where the obligation to financially support the individuals sponsored still remains.

Hi,
I don't see any name in the invitation letter. And I don't remember if we were asked for the parents' names at the time of the initial application. At that time I was thinking to only sponsor my parents. Now I just realized that my wife and I are eligible for sponsoring 6 people (my parents+my wife parents+ us=6) Can I fill out forms for my in-law parents too?
