Just go DM2 on ECAS and pre-arrival letter today Oct17, 2021.
Yesterday also got an update that they are reviewing the additional docs that we provided on sep 21.

My parents are here in Canada hope every thing is going smooth to get there PR.
Please let me know what I should expect at this point.

Hello everyone

I'm May 9 applicant and my LVO is Ankara. I received pre-arrival service letter on Sep. 30. Based on MyCIC account BG check has not started yet!

I'm so upset as feel like I'm waiting in a lineup and every one behind me is being called up but my application is stuck for no reason! I have written several emails to Ankara asking them to process my application and in my last three emails I got the following response which is strange! I looked it up and it seems this is one of the Ankara's template response emails but they mainly use it for spousal sponsorship.

Please be advised that this file has been preliminarily assessed and is currently in the queue for the secondary review.

I wonder if anyone here has received anything like this from LVO and what does it mean?! My parents passed Medical on Feb. 1 and submitted PCC, travel history, etc in June.

hi Can you help me with my question? I am submitting additional documents for my parents with PCC due 25th. They are still in India, but I am trying to figure out that would they need to be India until the final decision is made or they can come to Canada after 25th using the multientry visa they have?

Hi - may I have your help please.

I received an email from Mississauga center saying their initial review shows that my parents' passport expired and asked them to send a copy of their new passport.

Could someone please let me know:
1) what is the status of their application? My CIC account shows their 2nd medical passed. I have provided PCC last year, but eService still show "in process" now.
2) if the next step is to send in their passports for visa, will that be sent to somewhere in Canada, or a visa office in China where my parents currently live? want to plan ahead if they need to mail the passport to Canada.

Hi all,
I am extremely confused with the income requirements to sponsor parents.
Last year, I had put interest for my mother only as I felt my income would not be sufficient to sponsor my mother and father.
I was married from 2018 to mid December (my spouse entered Canada in beginning of 2020) so should I consider 4 people bracket when I am looking for minimum income requirement? This is the requirement shown in CIC website for 4 people for 2020 and prior two years. My income for 2018 and 2019 was below $55k-60k but below the requirement shown. If my wife was not present in Canada, I still need to consider as 4 people for 2018-19 or 3 people in total.

I would recommend you not to apply, as you will get refuse if you don't meet the income requirement. First thing you cannot just sponsor one family member and leave other. You need to add your father to the application for income verification, as a non accompanying family member

To calculate your family size, include:

• yourself
• your spouse or common-law partner (who could also be your co-signer) (doesn't matter weather they live in Canada or not)
• your dependentchildren
  • only include your children if they meet the definition of a dependent child

• your spouse’s or partner’s dependentchildren
  • only include children who meet the definition of a dependent child

There is nothing you can do to solve this. You need to proof income for 4 people for all 3 years.

1. Marriage Proof between Principal applicant and dependent - My parents do not have a marriage certificate and we had got a notarized affidavit along with other IDs that would proof they are husband and wife. But Case manager updated our file asking for their Voter cards and National identity document (Aadhar card)

• My mothers cards list my father as her husband so that is good
• But my father cards do not list spouse, they only list his father
• I assume they want additional documents to confirm relationship between my parents, so will my mothers ID be good enough for them?

2. Details of government service form - My mother (dependent) worked for the government during her employed years. Now they had asked her to fill the "Details of government service form" which our letter says is enclosed, but I do not see it. I tried finding it online but could not. Does anybody have this form they can share with me?
Only form I can see is the Details of military Service form - but she was not in the military. Any advise?

I got DM1 since july, but still not received any SA letter

I have received nothing other than AOR and MYCIC also shows that the sponsorship application is still in process. I am not sure what to do at this stage.

The same happened with me, initially they didn't send anything but later they sent me the form. Send me you email, I can share it with you.

Not all of us received sponsorship approval letters. In my experience, you can't do anything here, you can try order GCMS notes and probably there will be some details. They didn't answer on webform inquiry about application status, I am asked 3 times why I didn't get a sponsorship approval letter and they just answering your file in process.

Father's passport was delivered to CIC Delhi on October 07
Mother's passport was delivered to CIC Delhi on October 08

Father's passport stamped and received back home on October 14
Mother's passport stamped on October 18 (updated on portal). Yet to be shipped by CIC Delhi. Hope to get it back this week.


Parents plan to travel to Canada earlier next week. We are visiting them to help them in packing and wind up other work.

At last, parents file would be complete after 2.5 years. My in-laws received an invite and now I have started working on their file. Now I have more experience managing CIC files than any experienced immigration consultant
