Hello everyone.

I'd like to first poitn out that this is an amazing forum and I've been on it since my PR process, about 10 years. Glad to see it's still up and being used and so many more people to assist.

After getting a PR and the citizenship my wife and I are now sponsoring her mother under the parent class. My understanding of the process is old as when we got our PPC request for PR, we got approved in a month after submitting the PPC. Is that still the case of have processing times changed? Anyone who applied in 2019 got their PR?

We got our request for Biometrics and Medicals together, July 2021. After submission we got a request for PCCs which we submitted today. Now we wait.

Thanks. My application was received in May 2019.

PCC request was October 2019.

And request for Biometrics in June 2021.

No news after that.

What documents they requested on 12 September?

So I need advice here. We got passport request in June, and we informed the visa office that parent is already in Canada to get virtual landing. We have been waiting since to get virtual landing. Parent's visa will expire soon. We contacted visa office asking what to do, and they replied and told us to contact IRCC Domestic Network. We contacted domestic network, and they send an automated reply saying they are only focusing on case from Afghanistan. Now, I am confused what will happen if she leaves Canada or if she stays, will they extend her visa again.

I know there were a few others in similar situation, I am not sure if they got their Virtual landing.

Thanks,

Keep trying to contact IRCC again. Your parents should not think of leaving Canada because of visa as they are already confirmed as PRs.

I cannot upload anything. The PCC request letter only has link to show how to get a PCC.

Hello Experts,

I have a question - I have sponsored my father(Applicant) and brother(dependent) under PGP 2019. File is currently under process at NDVO.

Below is my timeline:

AOR: 19 Sep 2019
SA: 10 Oct 2019
PCC: 14 Nov 2019
IME: 14 Nov 2019
Pre-Arrival Letter: 24 Jun 2020
2nd IME: 8 Feb 2021

Applicant DM and Passport request can come anytime now.

I am the sponsor and my wife is co-signer. My daughter was recently born. Do I need to inform IRCC about it? Someone told me that its not required as Sponsorship Approval was already completed back in 2019 only.

Can someone advise what I should do?

Thanks,

No need to rush but you can inform IRCC about change in your family via webform. The PPR letter will ask you do so in the future.
