hi all,

my father's medical request was received July 29. Because of the lockdown, the clinic can only accommodate him around September which is way passed the 30day deadline. I sent a request to IRCC thru web form if they can extend the deadline but they have not responded yet.

Anybody here can share their experience(s) with regards to extended deadline? How many days does IRCC give?

Thank you!
Book for medical check earliest available. IRCC will respond the request in a few days.

@laxsun @robertp @serious_cheese please update on parents application:
Just received email today that they now qualify to receive pre-arrival services to help you prepare for your new life in Canada. Parents in Canada right now under supervisa. Can someone advise what's the next step for PR request? Police clearance, bio were all done a few months ago.

Is Call for virtual landing next step? But for parent already here, are they rather asked to send the passport to somewhere here in Canada? Curious about what's the next step.
Ecas say In Process. Application location: Delhi.

Thanks.
Usually, pre-arrival service is issued before they finalize your PR. For some users, IRCC asked some documents after this letter. I have answered previously few users when they were asked for additional documents such as Residence History after the file submission. Travel history and medical request.

Hello friend,
I have applied for my mother for sponsorship. I mentioned my brother and his son as non immigrant family member. We have received 3 medicals now. One for my mother, other for brother and his son.

My question is, will my brother too get chance to get PR? he is above 18 years old.

Thanks,
Adam

Same case for me, i need to take appointment first and it exceeds the deadline for medical. I am going to send anyways. Are you aware if we need to fill any extra form too after medical? or it automatically goes to embassy from clinic?

is he your mom's dependent?
if he is, even he is non-accompanying, he still have to take the medical test.

My dad's medical report has one minor finding "Unilateral or bilateral costophrenic angle blunting (below the horizontal) (2.2)". The Medical report grading comes "B" but since then I do not hear anything back from them. If the "Medical Passed" shows on the CIC site, then most likely your parents are admissible in Canada with the existing medical condition.
Hi! Did you receive a request for more exams?

thanks for reply, what if he does not take the test and only my mom takes the test? I thought he is going to get PR ;-)
if your mom will not intend to sponsor him as dependent in the future, then he can refuse taking the test and your mom will be asked to sign an agreement saying that she will not and never able to sponsor him :)

no, he's not going to get PR as you mentioned in application that he will be non-accompanying
but....if he takes the test and they find out he is inadmissible, the applicant will be refused

thanks, i am still confused, would my mom's application be denied if brother does not do medical? any idea why it is required even if he is not allowed to travel with my mom?
