Hey Guys,

I have just received GCMS notes, In the criminality section of the notes, for my mother who is dependent her criminality shows canceled but for my father it shows passed and for RCMP and BIo criminality for both passed.

Is it normal?

Please see snapshot attached in the link(https://drive.google.com/file/d/11Apv8rO81eEB7lDOOPYo9GY9SjqGNicD/view?usp=sharing/)
Hi @joyus, Congratulations, your line on tracker shows PCC submitted proactively, Does that mean you submitted another PCC in Dec 2020 ?

Please advise.

Thanks

We only submitted it once in Oct 2019.

Hi!!
That’s great news for you!! Congratulations!! I’m happy to see Mexico is moving , slowly but starting to move. My application was transfer Feb 2020 and I have never heard of them at all.. I did email them, they did confirm my application was received. But nothing else! So this is good news!
Thanks for sharing!

Isn't the 12 months validity applicable only to either the sponsor or the applicant's passports? Parent is not the direct sponsor in our case.
12 months validity of passports for principal applicant and dependent

12 months validity of passports for principal applicant and dependent
Exactly, that's what I meant. Sponsoring grandchild's passport validity is important too, but parent's can be less than 6 months as this is grandparent sponsorship. Anyway, we'll renew the passport before expiry. Thanks

Is anyone else from June 17,2019 stuck at application received ? when are they going to process these files when now they have started inviting people for 2020 PGP . How the previous files are still pending and now they will be working on new files. I don't think that is a good way to go about . I am sympathetic for the PGP 2020 but what about people waiting over a year to get the file at least in process.
Same situation for me. Application received on the June 19, 2019. Additional documents requested in October 2019. AOR in April 2020. Has remained as “Application Received” since then. Very frustrating.

Finally after months and years of waiting we have received passport request. I am on the tracker, but not sure of the line, under "joyus"

Application submitted - Apr 30 2019
Medical passed - Dec 2, 2019 (got extension on Jan 4th 2021 to Jan 4 2022)
Medical pass Extension update on myCIC - Jan 4, 2021
PA Decision made - Jan 5, 2021
PPR request - Jan 5, 2021

Mother is in India and will be submitting PP to Delhi through VFS.

Hopefully things will move bit more smoothly from here. My mother is 79, widowed and living on her own especially during the pandemic so I can't express how I feel right now. It has been a roller coaster ride for us the past 2 years. Wishing everyone good luck to all waiting for their time to come! There will be light at the end of the tunnel!!!

Joyus

I completely understand your emotions as I am in the same boat. My mother is also a widow and she has been living all alone since pandemic. Hopefully, I will receive an update soon. BTW, Congrats!!

Hello! Hope someone can help me. I understand that this PGP 2019 but Im just wondering if someone has the same situation with me or can help me. Im starting to gather my application for PGP 2020. Im kind of confuse in filling out IMM5768 question #14 with my decreased family size. Im not sure if Im doing it right.

Here is my situation;
Im supposed to be sponsoring my father mother and 1 dependent sister, but father passed away last February 2020.

Am I doing it right?
Family size for;
2020- 4 (year father passed away, so Im just counting me, my spouse, mother, 1 dependent)
2019- 5 ( dad still alive so im counting me, my spouse, father, mother, and 1 dependent)
2018- 5 ( dad still alive so im counting me, my spouse, father, mother, and 1 dependent.)

Thank you !!!

Guys please help !!

My parents' passports are expiring in 10 months, and we received the bio-metric letter for which we have booked the appointment, now my question is can we go for the appointment with the passports which are expiring soon and then renew the passports or do we have to renew the passports before the bio-metric appointment?

Please guide.

You can renew the passports after biometric. Please don't delay for biometric.

Ours is the same story. Application received on June 24, 2019 and no movement. They sent me a letter in October 2019 requesting for a form to be signed in ink instead of electronic signature, and another letter in September 2020 advising to have my financials updated if no consent was given to my CRA records in the application. With all of this, the status of the application remains "Application received".

I've asked a local MP to assist with any update. Her office came back with the following response:
"It is progressing as expected. I should note that under normal processing times the timeline for this type of application is 20-24 months, and this is further delayed by the pandemic. Your application is complete and there are no missing documents that they can see".

It's very frustrating with IRCC and overall process.
@Komarick - Thanks for sharing your situation. It is indeed very frustrating being stuck. We are already reaching the 20 month mark with literally no progress, very disappointing. Hopefully, the stuck files get picked up soon.
