Question guys... so if my parents and sister's passports returns with their visa, can they purchase tickets now to come to Canada? Do you know if their is any restrictions affecting their eligibility to travel? They will come from the Philippines. Thanks

So, where do you think we stand? Sent direct message and they said they do not need any further documents, but this was a generic message that they sent twice copy/paste after few months interval.

Question on interpretation of myCIC account information:

Review of eligibility
  • We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements

    Medical passed February 2020
    Biometrics passed January 2020
Given travel history, resume and PCC March 2020

Review of additional documents "We do not need additional documents."

Interview "you do not need an interview"

Background check "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information"

Hi All
I got an email from CPC-M asking to provide documents (Adhar Card, Vote ID, Matriculation certificate) proving a relationship with my mother. I don't have a birth certificate.

I have my mother's name on the following documents - Old India passports, current OCI (Overseas Citizen of India), joint bank accounts.

The asked documents (Adhar Card, Vote ID, Matriculation certificate) have my late father's name only.

I just want to check if anybody faced a similar situation, submitted these documents and the outcome.

Marriage certificates issued by some Indian states have parents names in it. If your marriage certificate has those details, you can show it as well.

I wonder what their plans would be for those parents that are currently in Canada but have not done their medicals/biometrics yet. Our last update was January 30, 2020 requesting for Bio which we submitted right away. If only Covid hit a month later, we probably would've done their medicals and just waiting for PPR.. I think even CIC admitted that medical offices and Biometrics locations are non-operational.

Hoping for some movement soon for everyone'ss applications!

Hi

I am confused about the following comment on my GCMS notes.

SSC - 1st letter sent BC 10/01/2020, 2nd letter sent BC 22/09/2020

What should I do? It seems like BC has not responded to the first letter.

Pre-Assessment status - Social service check to be sent

Thank you.

Pratik

Hello All,

I have a quick question, been waiting with dm2 since march 23 with no updates. So I asked my parents to come for a visit on a visitor visa. Are they allowed to travel here on a visitor visa? Do the immigration officers have to be told a specific reason to travel or just visiting kids is allowed?

they can visit if they have a valid visitors visa. you will need to update their address on file to your canadian address.

Hello Friends, I had been waiting for DM 2 since Dec 2019, it's going to be almost 11 months since my mom completed her all milestones of the application. Don't know what is happening with NDVO. if they closed all operations.

In the meantime, I was going through some OHIP eligibility and found something new

It states that Applications of Permanent Residence are eligible for OHIP coverage
Who qualifies

have applied for permanent residence, and Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada has confirmed that:
  • you meet the eligibility requirements to apply
  • you have not yet been denied
To my understanding, any applicant of PR who has met the eligibility requirements of PR can qualify for OHIP coverage.

Any experienced friend can comment on this?

I am waiting for PCC and IME request for my parent's application. They received the biometrics request in March 2020. Today I logged in to their CIC account and it said application updated, on looking further into it, there was no change in their profile.

I checked the ecas status too, nothing changed. Anyone having a similar experience ?
