So my parents (in New Delhi) are awaiting their PR. Above is the latest update on their application. I am wondering what "Background Check" entails? Although they haven't been asked for PCC till now, should we just apply for a PCC beforehand so that we have it ready just in case they ask for it? Will save time. Suggestions?
Just checked my PIL's MyCIC account and found a ghost update. Don't know what is it yet, hopefully good news. Will check it again tomorrow morning.

Yes. The two are independent events.Hello,
Just curious, can i sponsor my spouse to come to Canada while my Parents(Mother) PR application is still ongoing?
Yes, you can. I'm going through both. Once you applied for spousal sponsorship, you need to update IRCC change in your marital status and provide your marriage certificate.Hello,

That's great but make sure they will allow your brother to board as siblings are not immediate family for current COVID-19 travel restrictions as per this link
