Yes you should be updating any changes in health but having a knee replacement shouldn’t change anything unless he has other complications. Would really discourage any elective surgeries at the moment or any hospital visits. Your father seems to be in India. There is such a higher chance of getting covid if he goes to a hospital and especially had surgery and remains in a hospital. I would discourage having a knee replacement in Toronto at the moment. India has a much bigger covid problem at the moment. The surgeon may be encouraging your father to have the operation partially because many others are cancelling.

How long did they wait for a knee replacement? Wait times are usually around a year if not more. Think they can also pay for private knee replacement.

Then they should be fine. Order a wheelchair if he needs help walking throughout the airport. Your father will need to be prepared for long wait times in Canada to get a knee replacement. Wait times will be even worse due to covid. He should bring his medical imagining if he does plan on getting the knee replacement done in Canada. Maybe it will save a bit of time if the imaging is recent enough.

Your post didn’t indicate that there will be a decent wait time. Likely longer than a year now in a Vancouver. Just wanted to clarify.

Make sure that they have a place to quarantine or your family is prepared to remain at h9me for 14 days with them.

Guys have anyone applied for extension of supervisa to remain in Canada ? Please advise ?
I need some help how to apply for supervisa or is it the same as extension of visitor visa.

Yes they should be able to get an extension for their Supervisa. Make sure to include a paragraph indicating that they have a PGP application in process as well as include information about inability to travel home if that is also the case. They may b3 asked to redo their medical. If they have done a medical within a year you can reply that they have already done their medical and on what date. They will of course need to have supervisa insurance. Follow the online instructions.

Hello Kulb,

So my mom repeats the X-ray and meets Dr today. But the Dr didn't say anything about the result. Asked some basic questions.

My mom also didn't get any result of repeat x-ray. But they did give her a copy of sputum test report which was all clear. Few days later, we followed up with the clinic, they told us that all medical results were OK and forwarded to IRCC. But so far we have not seen any medical pass update on My IRCC account.

In which country did your mom do her tests?

Yes, it comes with the tracking. But it only shows signed by the front desk, no specific person's name or the place's name. So I'm a bit worried if it has been delivered to the right place.

Immediate family members of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
can come to Canada and stay for 15 days or longer.

So I guess they now can come to landing?
