for PGP-2019 CIC not requested Bio to all applicant. Please check tracker.
CIC not requested Bio for Parents already in Canada. (some got bit request but not All). Applicant who did not get Bio Request CIC will refund Bio fees.
As of dec 3, all travels must provide bio.

I just called CIC to check on our application ... the person on the phone told me that they are checking MY backgroud.
I'm a Canadian citizen. Does this sound right to you? Why would they check MY background?

I thought the same way before, that this is very strange but I guess this s what they do as I have seen few people on the spreadsheet, that had provided additional paperwork for themself (sponsor)

please make yourself familiar with the forum and the info provided by Robert in the tracker link. There were various scenario where BIO was not requested for PGP 2019 applicants.[/QUOTE
? I am quite familiar.,thx

When did you submit police clearance by email and when did you get acknowledgment email? What is the office handling your application?
I have submitted my police clearance on first week of January and get the acknowledgment on the next day. Thanks!

I feel helpless and sad as my mom is an old widow awaiting a permanent reunion with her family.

You have had the option of both TRV and supervisa all this time. Unless processing time exceeds the 12-24 months that is posted I am not sure what you want your MP to do. They aren’t ineffective they just have nothing to complain about to IRCC since you are still earlier than the posted processing time.

@robertp or anybody who can answer:
For country specific requirements it said I need to submit old school certificates and vote card. My question is my parents old school certificates are in regional language, do I need to get them translated? Please let me know if anybody has been into similar situation and is it required to submit the certificates or vote card is enough?
Thanks in advance!

Did you sign up a MyCIC account? Usually there's more info there
