Hi guys
I'm one of those very lucky applicants! my application was received on May 9 and stuck in process since July 26.
I received my GCMS notes today and it says that my SA application is in "pre-assessment status"
The only thing that I noticed on the GCMS notes under Outgoing it shows that CIC has requested "Province - Request Letter" which I think is the letter than the call center agent told me a few weeks back that they need to confirm if I have ever received social assistance.
Apparently I have never received any kind of assistance, EI, loan, OSAP, etc.

Anyone who have requested GCMS notes, see a similar thing requested from the province?

Thanks

I had same status and CIC send a letter to province social services dept. requesting details. It took couple of weeks but probably it varies between provinces. AB replied fast to their request and I got SA approved. BTW we have same application received date May 9th

Oh really! my province request has been sent on Aug. 2 which is about 3 months ago so ON seems to be really slow!

Thanks for sharing this!

Did you get the GCMS notes as well? I mean how did you know that they sent a letter to your province?

I was checking myCIC today and it said application profile updated, but when I clicked view full application, there is no change in any of the status
Once I am done reading, the state again changed to "Submitted" from "application profile updated"
Anyone seen that ?

You will see an update later in the day then.

I got my parents biometrics done this week and got medical request for my mom only who is the main applicant. Can anybody tell me why I haven't received medical request for my dad who is listed as dependent? Also, why I haven't received PCC requests before medicals?

Initially call centre agent disclosed that to me when I called them enquiring about reasoning for delay in SA approval. Then it was reflected on GCMS notes as well which I ordered. For sure Ontario will be slow & western provinces “WEXIT” are faster based on 20% Canadian population stays only in western provinces :)
