Hi Guys, my parents got new passports, what is the procedure to update LVO? and does this affect the application. Thank you

I just link my file to the ECAS, it turn out I cannot use the My UCI # to link it, I have to use the application # on the AOR letter, and later I found the UCI # for the PA is different. This is might also the heads up for the other guys have the same problems.

Anyway, if I check with my UCI #, it shows the status is 'application received', however, after I linked it to the system, it shows' we are processing your applications'. does that means the status changed to 'in process' or not.

SA comes after In process and Decision Made steps. Keep checking your ecas (login with sponsor details)

You can update CIC through webform and they can advice you if more steps are required on your end.

Hello guys, my dad doesn't have the birth certificate and also there are no education documents available with him. So along with Voter Id what would you suggest? Affidavit declaring the birth date on the basis of various National ID's will be ok?

My parents didn't have one either. They got one made at the time of original application preparation. Is this a possibility for you. Municipal Departments in India now have a process for obtaining Birth Certificates. Many, many pages back I had outlined the steps for obtaining Birth Certificates in India, albeit this varies by state-to-state.

If this is not a possibility, then I suggest you go the Affidavit route citing the same DoB exists on Passport / Voter ID / Aadhar Card etc.
