Hi, I saw in the excel sheet that your mother did medical already for visitor extension and you have linked IME. How did you link the medical results. Do you use the same result? Please assist.

My parent's IME passed on August 22 but no PCC request yet. Do you think it's a good idea to get PCC now because it will take some time to complete PCC?

Most of the May 1st 2nd week applicants waiting for PCC request with medicals passed from weeks. There is no harm in getting PCC, assuming we will receive PCC in a month. I am applying for PCC (hoping I receive the request soon)as I got medicals passed update.

Assuming this is for India.
If you apply from local police station, you only get PCC for the local address. If you apply from Passport Seva, you get an India wide PCC. Please see my signature for example of PCC from Passport Seva. I had extensive posts in the (past few hundred pages) on Passport Seva PCC process. If I remember correctly it took 7 working days for Delhi, but your mileage may vary.

Thank you. Passport portal, I already did this in April when I got invitation and they will issue on same day if the address on passport and the current residential address matches. I got this in April because I thought we can submit PCC with the package we send, Later I figured out we cant submit PCC in advance and in the document checklist its clearly mentioned DO NOT SUBMIT PCC, even though I got it in my hand I hesitated to submit

Thanks @chandra415. When you say same day, did the passport portal allowed you to download the PCC from your online passport portal account ?
Experience of @zeiesfirdaus was different as he has an appointment with police station in Delhi etc and had to collect his PCC.

Yeah, the police officer from East Delhi Police Station actually came in for verification. PCC had to be collected in person.
So three steps
1. Visit Passport Seva after taking an appointment to give fingerprints / photo
2. Local Police Officer visited home for verification...
3. Go back to Passport Seva to pick PCC

Experience of @zeiesfirdaus was different as he has an appointment with police station in Delhi etc and had to collect his PCC.

Nope, its not downloadable. Once we book the appointment in the passport office, applicants has to go to the passport office with the appointment letter, passports and other address proofs, and they will handover the PCC on the same day to you (Technically will take less than 1 hour if everything goes well)

They wont issue same day PCC, if there is a mismatch in the address or passport is too new, etc...
