I have a feeling they are processing our applications faster this year!
Sorry to rain on your parade but I have the opposite feeling, it's the same as in ALL IRCC processes, everything is random, they update people from May yet there are many from April with no update
There's no logic to this process whatsoever, I am severely bummed out by this because I had everything ready to send it as fast as possible because renewing a passport for Venezuelans is kind of a mission impossible, but I guess I was expecting more from sending it the first day and sadly, there's nothing to gain from it

That's just a waste of time, energy and a lot of money! My understanding was that if my parents are here in Canada they would not require to do biometrics. Now we are gonna have to go to another country to do that. (US is not an option for us because of the travel ban against my home country)

Any suggestion on where the closest and cheapest VAC is?
Your home country if save to return? Or Mexico.

I agree.
I also think processing time depends on your origin countries, some countries are really fast for processing, some are slow due to certain restrictions, risks, ...etc.
For example: Singapore, UK, Newzealnd, Australia, Japan, Korea, Vietnam.....processing time seems a lot faster than others. Probably also because not many people apply.

Oh and another thing, they don't even need to evaluate my financial capacity at this point in the process as this will be done by Quebec later, so in theory it should be fast ? Wrong !

My Application was received on June 26. The e-cas has no update. CIC said to call back after a month or so. Any idea what the timelines are for ecas to be updated?

Also, baby 2 is expected in 2 months. Do I need to call CIC and inform them?
My file was received on 24-Jun. We're on same boat.

Friends, i am new to this group and new to the process. Wanted to know what's the process post file submission. What are the key stages Ex: what's AOR etc. Request if someone can point me to the existing post/thread or provide info here.

Appreciate the support. This is a great group where everyone helps each other! Kudos!

Are the people in those countries processing from the same country or from Canada?

If it is people native to that country I can imagine, corruption and bribery would be a big feature in certain third world nations with that kind of problem?

If it is people from Canada who move there to work, then it's purely volume of applications then.
