NO you do not need to, I did not and I received AOR

In 2008, I had the AOR too, still my application was cancelled after 6 years.

Yes I remember that in 2008. It is possible that they might cancel unless you already have AOR.

Your mother will be the principal applicant and according to my understanding, when you are saying your dad is dead and putting the date of dead, there is no requirements of death certificate

no requirements, but they will most likely ask for it later - it would save u some time to send it now, if u have it in english or translated/notarized.
