Think I don't get is, this was supposed to be question they need answer before Jan 28th, why now!

We have had a discussion about this before in the previous thread and it got deleted because of it. The gist of it is, Legions of people can make false declarations on the EOI with no repercussions. Thus Zounds of People cannot be bothered to check the requirements for sponsorship as a result. Then Swarms of people come here to ask. And when told they don't qualify throngs of people argue why it should be. Hordes will be unhappy because they don't qualify. Lots will berate them. Packs will try to help prevent them from losing their application fees. Several will disagree with the pack. And then several will get complaints and few will get disciplined.

I bet you there are Legions of people who WILL apply and get rejected as well. (Aka the ignorant)

wow.. just LOVED this post!

yes that's true. But if anyone sponsor parents means he or she need to show last 3 year income right. Co signer is different story.
But you are saying those who r unemployed can sponsor parent. Is it true?

it is written that---
"To prove you meet the income requirement, you must provide your Notice of Assessment from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) for the last 3 taxation years before you apply."
earning an income and filling taxes are two different things.

if you are unemployed and you have filled taxes (as you should) and your spouse is employed, made enough money for whatever family size you have, and obviously filled taxes - you, the unemployed person, can apply for the PGP program with your spouse as a co-signer. does that make sense?

it goes without saying that everybody should be aware that this is a 20 year commitment and it should not be taken lightly. People die, circumstances change... just be mindful of signing/co-signing an application this important if you don't meet income eligibility. but that's just my 2 cents.

I know at least 1 person in real life who despite do not meet income requirement (and also residency requirement becase he came as express entry only 14 months ago), got invited and submitted his app any way, he is waiting for AOR and he submitted income from USA as "supporting documents"

Good for him! I think that should be the way. If you want to do it, then commit to it. And then bear the consequences as well.

Noone can stop them from donating $$$$ to IRCC, it will help them hire more people and process other apps quicker anyway, and better for Canada economy

If they don't have the marriage certificate and just have an affidavit from the court for the marriage certificate, will that work?
I'm in the same situations. My confusion is shall we give a copy of Affidavit or an original Affidavit?
