Hello Friends,

I have started filling out the forms and need to inquire about Application to Sponsor Form (IMM 1344) Question 1. If you are ineligible to sponsor, indicate whether you want to 1) Withdraw your application (fees will be refunded) or 2) Proceed with the PR application (no refund will be given). If I choose option 2, Does it increase your chances to get the PR, or your file goes back in the queue from the start and a new application for PR is initiated? I don't want to lose the money if i choose option 2 when it won't really change their decision if I am ineligible. Please advise me on the same.

Thanks,
M.

hello,it's my opinion and also my experience that it's best if you check withdraw.if you are not eligible to sponsor it's better to withdraw rather than opt to proceed, your application will be refused, and you will not get your fees back once it's been processed.granted you will be able to appeal based on why you were refused, however appeals generally take upto 2 years and more.where as if you withdraw you have the opportunity to fix the ineligibility problem, and reapply later, that is much shorter than allowing it to go forward.good luck with your application.

Humble request.

Please, if you do not like a question, please do not bother answering it because it will never come out right.

You may think a question is frivolous. Someday you will ask a question and I might think in my perspective that it is frivolous. That does not mean I should put down your question.

Thank you for understanding.
Any time I can help someone here I do, I just think that there’s a search button and 95% of the questions have already been answered, to name a few:
How can I check ECAs? Enter ECAS on google, it’s the 1st link. Doesn’t matter whose UCI you use
Should I sign blue or black? Whichever you like
Can I sponsor one parent and leave the other behind? No
Should I fill the additional dependents form ? If your parent has more than 5 dependents (very rare case) yes
What if my mother has 12 siblings? Fill as many forms as you want just changing the proper section and leaving the other sections the same
If I don’t fulfill the minimum income can I apply? Sure, at your own risk
Can I use different size paper? Yes

It would be a great idea to put the most asked questions as a sticky post on the first page, but given what I’ve seen so far, no one is going to read it

I have another dumb question (I guess),
Almost every form requires hand written signature. Can we pick the date using the date picker while filling the form or it has to be hand-written as well as that of signature?
Whichever you prefer but I’m almost sure one of the forms that need validation won’t validate unless you enter the date

Hello

I read on this forum earlier that someone was clicking the option ‘yes’ in question 8 of 5768 i.e. giving the SIN no. And giving consent to IRCC to get information from CRA

And slap they are filling the form IMM 5748 and attaching NOAs of last three years.... is it ok to do this both together? What other people have followed... plz share

Hi everyone

I have an issue with my immigration consultant. She took all the money and didn’t do the job.
Not sure how to deal with it now

There may be anyone here who ran in this type of situation and was able to pull it off.
Please advise

Thanks a lot, my friend. Appreciate your advise. I have another question on the Financial Evaluation Form (IMM 5768) - What do I input in the family size as a Sponsor and Co-sponsor before I got married and after. I am sponsoring my both parents. Please confirm. Should I put "4" after marriage and "3" before marriage as a Sponsor and my spouse/co-signer can put "4" after marrying me and "1" before marriage??

Check whether she is registered or not. Either way, file a complaint with ICCRC.

In the meanwhile, try filling out the forms yourself and meet the deadline

Hire a reputable immigration consultant like Campbell Cohen Law Firm.

I actually think it would be great as a sticky post on the first page. Most other forums would have something like that. But this forum doesnt have such a function.

Maybe it is because of accuracy and legal implications of having one.

Has anyone received a refusal letter because of the discrepancies with the interest to sponsor form?

Last year people received the invitation letter. They submitter their applications and after all that ordeal their packages were sent back to them months after the submission death line. I can imagine that this year something similar could happen.

Did they get their money back?
