For Birth Certificates and Marriage Certificates will affidavits work for Parents?
Has anyone got them created from Punjab, India?
Yes, they will. Make sure you get the notarized. It should be really straight forward and is a few hours' work. They need to go to the nearest tehsil office and talk to any advocate there.

Thanks. Have another question:

For the Gross Income in the Financial Evaluation form, do you report your annual salary or salary to-date for the current year i.e. 2019? So say if your annual salary is 100K, do you report 100K or only the salary earned to-date from Jan 1, 2019? Thanks
It's little confusing. I am doing what you have suggested. But in any case, they will have your SIN/NOA to verify your income for previous years. with SIN they can verify for this year as well.

Hi folks,

how are you folks getting the passport photos from the principals where they are not living in Canada? Can they mail a digital copy that can be printed here in canada? thanks for any clues you can provide.
Yes, someone posted that he/she is doing exactly this. After you print the pics, ensure you mention the name, address etc. of the studio where the photo was taken. Also, inform the studio that you are doing it, just in case CIC wants to check with them.

In section 6 of schedule A background/Declaraion (IMM 5669). do we need to write all activity.
for example my mom dad have history of travel more than 25 times in last 10 years as a vacation. do i need to mention all these?
I believe they refer to extended travels (say > 6 months) - this is my belief only - and short vacations don't need to me mentioned.

In your experiences or from what you've observed from other sponsors, what is the average time from the moment ECAS updates until IRCC request biometrics and police certificates?

Please comment-
My parents applied for visitor visa and they got it as well. But I do not know their UCI number. Is it mandatory to fill UCI on immigration forms even if I don’t know but parents have it as per cic records.

Just enter the 01 as day and correct month and year. Submit validated forms. Its a requirement. Then write a short explanation letter.
I have done the same with IMM 5669 as my father does not know the precise DOB of my grandparents. I have entered Month 01 and Date 01 and will submit a letter of explanation explaining this. Will that be ok?
Just now read in guide 5772 that in case DOB is not known, fill '*', that scares me a little :(

It is not mandatory to fill in UCI, you can leave it blank or N/A.

Delivered on 29th of April. But no updates on ECAS yet.

The "*" doesn't work. I put approximate dates for my grandparents and wrote an LOE. It will be fine! :)

UCI is not a mandatory field
