Guys, I'm confused.
If my parents have already obtained a visitor visa (one year ago), should they use that UCI number again, for the parents' sponsorship application?

Hey guys kind of urgent. I am unable to validate form Schedule A and reason its saying null value in signature. But How can we do signature without printing the form?
Type the name, validate, print and then sign against the name by hand.

yes, UCI number doesnt change from app to app. It is same for a given person.

Hi,

I am sponsoring my Mom and I don't have a birth certificate so planning to get an affidavit. I am staying in Toronto, so could anyone who is getting the affidavit for the birth certificate provide the address/contact# from where I can get it done.

Thanks in advance!!!

VJ

Any notary public near you can do it.

Hi, Did you use courier or canada post or express post?
Thank you!

I sent it via Canada Post, but only received at 3rd May, so will wait couple of days and then check again.

Hello Everyone,

I have a questions around affidavit: So any document i submit instead of my parents birth certificate or marriage certificate, in the form of an affidavit.
I need the affidavit to be notorized in canada via public notory to prove their authenticity?

I called cic customer care and asked about that same question for financial evaluation form table FAMILY SIZE .the representative said it should be the family size who involved in income evaluation ( sponser/ sponsor’s wide if co sign ) . So it should be 1 in your case .

I won’t recommend scanning the documents.
Once the form is validated, go to print and select “print in pdf” option.
That way you would be able to save it to your computer in a “read only” version.
Send that to your parents through email.
I sent all the pages so that the quality/ink color won’t change from the rest of the papers.

But if you really want to send the last page, from that saved pdf version, split-extract the last page using some online tool (just google split pdf), and send the last pages by email.

But my recommendation is to send it all together, that was advises by someone in this thread, before that i also wanted to send just last pages.

See, ultimately these forms are going to be printed. I have already filled all the forms, validated and have printed them. So, my parents can print last page or full PDF document (doesn't matter because I am still going to take the signed pages and put it in my package that I have already printed).

Problem is: for form IMM5406, I have filled some information by hand and that's why I might have to get this form scanned.

Also the issue is my parents are not tech savvy, so i was resisting sending all family information to someone else.

What form are you talking about? I am sponsering my mom and my dad. So, for form IMM 0008 , total number of would be 2 as this form is just for the main applicant. It doesnt concern sponser.

Regarding the emails, I've also put lots of N/A. People in their late 60s rarely use emails unless they're academic professors or managers.

My bad sorry was trying to help and mentioned form though. Thanks for clarification.

My parents birth certificates are translated+notarized.
Passport copies are NOT notarized and I believe this is not required. ( please correct me!)
None of the principal forms includes anything about my siblings because they're all over 22. I have only mentioned their names in FAMILY INFORMATION form.

Is it necessary to include an explanation letter because I've used the REPRESENTATIVE form mentioned in the checklist?
