Yes, sure. If sponsoring parents only, you need YOUR birth certificate to prove you are related to your parents. Their birth certificate is irrelevant in this case.
Thanks. Just went thru the checklist again. I guess missed reading the details in haste. Thanks for updating me.

I already sent you the official response from cic that you can go ahead and apply if your number appears on ircc site
If you are referring to what they said on Twitter on Wednesday, they've rectified the comment. You CANNOT SEND an application without the letter, because it includes a bar code that helps the agent match your application and the checklist states that this letter is the 1st page of the application package, not a screen print from the website

Thanks huzcan. Yes I saw that yesterday and I'll apply with all the proofs I have.
I just wanted to find individuals like me. Just for the peace of mind that I'm not alone. So far I haven't found any.

When signing the forms - Do we first write the name & then sign beside it OR just sign it? Also, the date has to be handwritten or can be typed?

please give me your advice!!
I hv question in Financial evaluation form
my husband is not cosigning me.. i meet the financial requirements..My questions in this form are
1. do i have to write his first and last name for question 1. or just have to enter in Q11?
2. do i have to give his job history if he is not co-signing?

I want to thank you all who are answering the questions on this forum.
My humble request to all who are asking questions.
  • Ask question in detail. Do not provide partial information while asking questions. It may result into wrong answer.
  • If your question is about any forms then please include form number such as IMM008 and Section Number Such as Question 6.
  • If your question is applicable to specific country then please mention name of the country within question.

Best of Luck to all Applicants.
Special thanks to contributors who answer the questions.

One more stupid question guys....I just saw that my birth certificate has my parents name, however, my name is not there. Will it work or do we need to get the new birth certificate with my name on it?

IMM5406: Do we need to write names in Native language? If yes, can we write by hand because I cannot type it in Native language? If I am writing native words by hand, should I completely fill the form by hand ?
