Hello good people. please i have a questions and would appreciate if someone can help. I got invitation to sponsor my parents and would like to use my dad as the principal applicant. He works in the police force and know there's something about people working in the force. what documentations would i need to attach with this application?

Hello Guys,

Can someone please provide a suggestion?

I have to add few affidavits in my application and just wondering, should I put original affidavit or photocopy?

And just wanted to confirm, All supporting documents like PR card, Passports, Birth certificate, marriage certificate are photocopies?

There is not even a single document which is original?

Please confirm, Your help is much appreciated.

Although there is nothing mentioned about this personally I will include the original affidavit to avoid any delay. If there is any translation then send original translation with a copy of native language document also. Check out the following topic if you will include any translation document.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=040&top=4

There are not any original documents as CIC do not return documents back unless the file is rejected.

Hello All, can you guys please answer the following questions:

Q1) Financial Evaluation for parents and grandparent’s sponsorship (IMM 5768)
-What is to be filled in gross salary for the period?
- If this is your 1st time sponsoring anyone then Q9-Q12 will be NA, correct?

Q2) Schedule A- background/ Declaration (IMM 5669)
-Do my mum and dad has to fill this form separately? (what about my sister and brother, they are in their early 30's and not included in the application)
- What should I fill in section 5, Education History if there is none, without which I can not validate the form?

Q3) Additional Family Information (IMM 5406)
- Do my mum and dad has to fill this form separately? If yes,
- When I fill it for my mum, should I leave the principal applicant vacant as my dad would be the principal applicant?
- Do I have to include myself in section B, Children ?

Q4) Do any of you guys have the sample invitation letter for the parents?

Thank you all in advance :)

Thanks for your reply @diegosolano but in the form imm0008enu_2d for the applicant, I believe this form must be filled by my parent. It says: Have you received your CSQ ?
If no, when did you apply
for your CSQ?
Which date are we supposed to write as we did not apply for CSQ yet !

Is it mandatory to have been in canada for last 3 years as a Permanent Resident to show returns that meet the financial requirement?
I moved to canada late last year and started my job in Jan this year, I very well meet the criteria for funds but what can I do to prove that I meet them since I’ve never filed taxes in Canada?

Yes you are supposed to have filed taxes in Canada.

You can try applying and write an explanation letter since you do meet the income requirements.

Any documents which are in English don't need to be notarized.
For other languages affidavit is must.
In my case no birth certificate but her school certificate is in English with maiden name.
I will submit that.

I have my tax returns from the US. It is not mentioned anywhere that I am not eligible to apply if I’ve not lived in canada but it does say IRCC needs my tax returns within canada, it’s some sort of grey area...

You declared that you met income requirements and they sent you an ITA right?

Write an explanation letter with proof of your income. They would not have sent you an ITA if you did not qualify. Makes sense?

This is not a Canadian value.

But After reading this thread some people just ask stupid questions.

So even the most kind person can and will run out of patience to people not reading the application guidelines.

Neither is it a Canadian value or any kind of value to not read instructions and requirements BEFORE making declarations that you meet requirements and submit EOI and taking away a spot from someone else who is deserving.

There is not anything mentioned to include proof of document if applicant work for police force. So you do not need to include proof for his job.

This is extremely wrong, you need to submit parents photos not YOURS. Only need 2 photos of the parents each, must be taken according to strict requirements in the guide, must be taken at where your parents reside. This is the most common ground where people got rejected for PR application (wrong photo size, wrong format etc)

Gee that is the most funny ever. Submit your own photo?

Seriously those who come here to get free advice should consider investing some money and hire professionals.

Cant afford it? Then you probably can't afford to sponsor your parents here either.

Read the instructions carefully.

Hi

Does anyone know if there is a way to split the pdf and extract just last pages (the ones with signature fields) to be sent to parents to make it east for parents?
I did it for 5476, but unable to with rest of the forms (the ones with validation)
Any advise?

Did you pay taxes to Canada government in the last three taxation years? There is no grey area there.

In my opinion, being able to Sponsor is a privilege to people who pay taxes to the country where they want to sponsor. So you can pay taxes for this year to Canada, and then the next 2 years, and then now you’ll have that privilege too.

Peace out.
Hey D-bag.
I have been advised by legal counsel that I can submit my tax returns for US as well as my current pay checks in Canada to establish proof of income, looks like everyone here is a wannabe immigration attorney.
