I am wondering the same. I dont have a co-signer and my spouse recently passed away. So, not sure what to enter in those fields! When i filled financial evaluation form . I dont have a co-signer and i selected NO
after that co-signer section is still available.
May be you have the same case.
Did you leave it blank or not in co-signer section?
PLEASE read this guide before asking the same questions over and over. I just read through 10 pages on this thread and all of the answers are in this guide or on their website.

Yes - you must include him as a dependent and include him in your family size count. I don't think you need an affidavit - I would include a simple LOE explaining what has happened. Shouldn't be an issue at all provided you still meet LICO.Hi there,
Form IMM-5768e, question 6 says "Every other family member not included above and dependent on you financially, whether they are living with you or not."
When I filled in the "interest to sponsor form" I counted my family size as 3 (me, my wife and our son).
However, a month ago I signed a paternity declaration and a child support order for another child who's not a Canadian resident.
He was conceived prior to my marriage. I've never met him and have never had any contact with him, but I've been paying child support following a positive DNA test.
I do not know if he qualifies as a "family member" and as "dependent on you financially", given I have no custody, he is not a resident, lives abroad and is mostly provided for by his mother and her husband.
My income is sufficient to sponsor my parents even if he is counted as a dependent.
My questions are:
1. Am I supposed to count him as a dependent under questions 6, 14 and 17 (under column family size) of form IMM-5768e?
2. If the answer is yes, would I need to prepare an affidavit explaining the discrepancy between the interest to sponsor form and my application?
3. Could this complicated matter jeopardize the application?
4. What translated documents, beyond declaration of paternity and child support would I need to provide?
Thanks in advance!
An affidavit will be required along with explanation letter. Notary public will have all information which is required on affidavit. If you want to have a look i included link for affidavit sample in previous answers.Hi I got the invitation to sponsor my parents and am having difficulty with their marriage certificate. Does anyone know if we can provide any other proof instead of marriage certificate for the parents
