Hi everyone,
Would you please advise which option should I choose for if you are found ineligible to sponsor?
Thank you and wish you all the best of luck through the process.
I am using second option based on the fact that I get to appeal the decision if immigration refuses my file for any reason. I’m 200% sure, I meet all requirements to sponsor

Could you please explain what I could do if my parents don't have a marriage certificate?
They were married 37 years ago and they did not have certificates then. My dad is visiting me here in Canada next week.
It is a very long process to get the certificate done in India. What can I do, please help.
will my application be rejected?

what are you going to do now ? file the application for both of them or call CIC to decide whether to apply for one or 2?

If you find out the answer from CIC, please kindly let me know. the same from my side.

Same situation for me. I need clear answer of it.

Team,

Got a quick question for you guys regarding Family Sponsorship.
  1. I received the invitation yesterday (I forgot about it), but happy to have it.
  2. For the Proof of Income, I have the following for the last 3 years:
  • 2018 - About $55K
  • 2017 - About $14K (I only worked 4 months as my WP expired and I awaited my PR for 8 months).
  • 2016 - About $42K
  • For 2019, I am expecting to make between $70-$80K
Am I still okay to apply or should I forget about it until next year as I don't meet the 2017's minimum? Please advise.

Thanks for your time!
Amid all the positivity of the forum currently, I see posts like this that make my blood boil.
a) Absolutely clear that they did not meet the criteria (posted in multiple places in big bold type),
b) Flat out lie on the EOI,
c) take up a spot someone else could have had (saw so many distraught people posting who were shut out this year),
d) Have the temerity to say "what's wrong with taking a chance...
Sheesh....
Then again, I guess that's why they accepted 27k applications, knowing there would be clowns like this.

you can get an affidavit

That sounds re-assuring. However its contradictory to what is mentioned on IRCC website that email with barcode is mandatory for applying. Not sure why they confuse people so much. Hope we all get the email soon!
other than the bar code, there is an official invitation letter that you MUST include and place on top of your package, so you have to receive the email.

they say this but the online form WILL NOT take *** for an answer!!!!
what's going on, how should we fill out birthdays if we don't know the exact dates????
